Ok, I finally bought the game to "see by myself" what's inside of it. I like it, but I'm also a bit disapointed about it. I really like the "Mirror's Edge" style of each level. I guess it could have been easiest to learn if each different element was in the same color on all the level (all the doors in red, all the jump wall in blue, etc...), but after 9 levels completed I start to get accustomed to it. Some levels feels that it could have been possible to add some extra/secret ways : exemple with lvl.7, if you long jump in the 2nd wall you can access to the top of the building -> it could have been fun to get extra platforms to jump there to unlock a secret item Few glitches on lvl.8 after jumping the walls : it's possible to pass trough some floors and get like a very big jump to avoid all the element inside some part. I feel that the cutscenes quality really deserve the game design of the levels style. It looks horrible and very long to watch before passing it. The menu is horrible as well : trying to navigate between lvl.1 to 15 is not really ergonomic, and this menu style doesn't deserve the game design of the levels as well. About improvements, it could have been fun to get ingame like a light to represent the place where we died as far inside the level, like a challenge to beat in some tricky levels. Also, tutorials coming back after X death on the same point could have been welcome, just to help the player understanding what he's doing wrong. For me the tricky move was the slide down in lvl.2 because I didn't realized directly that it was required to keep sliding down on the screen to completly pass the obstacle. It's a cool game, I feel the gameplay closer to a Chameleon Run with the graphic style of Mirror's Edge.
Thanks for the feedback. We tried having separate pathways in the game but it was too complex to handle in the endless mode so we decided not to try it. Sorry to hear you don't like the cutscenes or the menu. You can skip the cutscene as soon as they start by tapping anywhere on the screen, though. Addind a marker where you died last or died the further is a fun idea, we'll try to see if we can make it happen in the future! About the tutorials, you can replay them anytime in the SIMULATOR menu on the far right.
Ok, back again with few noticied glitches. I.m at level 12 so far . lvl.9 to lvl.11 : with the new left "dash" button, it's possible to lock the dash effect if you die Hen using it - each next restart keep the dash always activated, it's frustrative because I always need to reset the game to get it back to normal . lvl.11 : I don't know how I get this one due to all the collision glitches ! Some wall can to jump into can disapears "inside" the buildings, some time the elevator steps disapears and my character keep falling in an infinite fall. . jump + dash tutorial : I took a screenshot of the weird situation where I was stuck with my character : impossible to skip it, just need to... reset the game again :/
And I finally finished the level 12 and 13 ! Really cool ones, no bug to report, they are the best ones so far Here few ideas for the next update : . it could be welcome to see in the Mission Failed screen the total distance we runned, or the distance that was missing : just to get an idea if you are retrying close to the end or not . I feel that the Mission Failed appearing after a death can be unfair at some point, it could be welcome to get few seconds if we want to use the Rewind power there to try to avoid this death The Endless mode is evil, I like it !
After playing the game for a week I'd like to leave sure impressions. Visually the have looks great. I love the art style they went with and the music fits perfectly. The gameplay is deceptively simple with the usual taps and finger slides. It might seem easy at first but as the game goes on it gets harder with more obstacles and a lot more speed. Oh and about speed, instead of simply vaulting over an object like usual , u can jump a bit earlier to completely jump over the obstacle to receive a speed boost. All in all the gameplay is smooth. As is the game is great and worth the money. it could be even more amazing with more levels, more interaction with the environment, and generally just more. Great game and definitely recommended.
!!!easy mode!!! Now that's what I've been waiting for. The speed of easy mode makes it much more fun for me to play. I hadn't played in the past week but after the update it doesn't feel as frustrating anymore it now feels like my fault when I fail. Thanks for the update.
