Thanks! The trailer music isn't featured in the game, but the game's background music is of a similar style Glad you got a kick out of the story, haha!
For what it's worth, we've had a few testers that approached the game initially not liking the idea of tilt-only and no d-pad gameplay, but once they tried it for a few minutes their impressions changed . As for the vulnerability of the player, the collision was intentionally made to be a bit forgiving. While it makes the early waves very easy, it becomes a god send and really helps heighten the intensity of later waves of enemies as you try to squeeze through seemingly impossible situations . The gametype we're initially releasing is a survival mode. You get touched once the game is over and you can quickly restart a new game. There are powerups to help you, such as the bubble shield (the green power up in the video), which allows you to hit an enemy once without dying.
This looks fantastic. I love the style. Is there an announced release date, or any expected release time frame?
Someone said February... If this is as addictive as it looks, it might kick Pocket God out of my Dock (PG will then go to the front page, but Dock is better than front page ) xD Let's see if this happens
This looks great, a lot of hectic fun. Reminds me a bit of Starball, with an emphasis on high action. IMO, tilt only games (if done right) are the "purest" games for the iDevice platform! Some great tilt-only games out/coming... - Tilt To Live - Labyrinth 2 - Dark Nebula ep.2 - Starball LOL... 2 of these are currently on my coveted "Page 2" of my iphone. Looks like I don't have much time to clear out a spot for the 3rd spot.
We don't have anything concrete yet as we're focusing on finishing game the right now (in fact, a few neat little game mechanics not captured in the trailer ), but we are tossing around ideas for new gametypes in later updates. The extent of the game types and how many there will be kind of depends on how well received Tilt to Live is, and a few other factors .
If you manage to make people notice you enough (twitter around [you already do ], tell many iDevice fan pages etc about your app, and whatever comes to your mind... take a look at "Trenches". The devs managed to create a huge following [it ended in disappointment for some people because they felt the following that was created was too huge for Trenches... anyway, your game looks like a nice thing with no rough edges, so this disappointment shouldn't appear for your game] ! ) then you will be all fine with the "how well receive Tilt to Live is" thing
You tweeted that you need "a few weeks for finishing touches" etc. Nice! THese "few weeks" will feel like an eternity to me, but take your time, we don't want toooo bugfilled games
Thanks for the support! We're definitely trying to get Tilt to Live polished up and tested enough to withstand the punishment and abuse it'll encounter once it's in your guys' hands . I've updated the original post with an older gameplay video, but with a new screenshot showcasing some of the newer touches we've added to make several of power-ups feel even more awesome: The lightning power-up is so powerful that it causes some electronic interference with the screen and player Along with several new awards that have proven to be pretty fun to unlock: Of course, not all of them are obvious and will require some sleuthing after reading the clues .
Nope, it's a pretty devastating weapon. It's our most powerful unlockable weapon! We plan on submitting this coming Friday (Feb 19th). Hurray!
Hi All! We've submitted Tilt to Live today! It's almost there! For those wanting the absolute latest info, you can keep up-to-date on twitter in my signature! We'll be keeping our fingers crossed!
