There is a second thread around, but this one is opened by the Devs themselves (two people, right?), so... Funny somehow that this old upcoming thread shows way more info and gameplay (not iphone only though). http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=233216 Seeing the title a few minutes ago, i remembered that game, probably from the simple colorful, yet cool graphics and the interesting mix of cars, shooting and puzzling, i don't know. I was interested back then, so i took the plunge. The presentation with the great menu soundtrack (though the fiddle might not please everybody, i guess) is slick and simple. And so are the levels, so far. But the real cool thing is, you can 4-way tilt your device to see much more of the current screen. I also like how the camera zooms in, if i don't drive, and out again when i get back in action. I'm at level 8, and i still consider this to be an advanced tutorial, somehow. But i have to be honest, before i dive in further, i'm gonna play the whole tutorial a few times more. I've got to get used to the cars behaviour first. The turns and curves are...special, and i like it. Also, a better and faster handling with the magnet might pay out in the later and more complex levels, my guess. While getting used is my personal thing, the controls are very responsive, no doubt. Good job. Maybe me too later on, but i can see some people asking for a magnet-button somewhere in the right corner, customizable the best. This is a very unique game in my books, and i'm looking forward to dive in further. Oh, maybe a link helps to get the game: „Tile Rider“ von Pavel Raliuk https://appsto.re/ch/neRb9.i Edit: always wondering...is it easier to release a game in a default foreign language, instead of having an option to let the players choose which one they prefer? 7 Soft Pillows Member Jun 19, 2014 13 0 0 Software developer #6 7 Soft Pillows, Sep 22, 2015 Qwertz555, Thanks for sharing your thoughts. You are right - we are 2 people. The game tries to use your system language and if it is not supported the game uses the default: English. We support English, Italian, Spanish, Russian, German. I've just added "language switch" to our to do list Alex metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,064 1,340 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #7 metalcasket, Sep 22, 2015 Holy shit. I'm on The Last Stand right now and I don't think I've played anything as unique as this in AGES. May I ask how many levels are in the game? 7 Soft Pillows Member Jun 19, 2014 13 0 0 Software developer #8 7 Soft Pillows, Sep 23, 2015 Wow. Such reaction is inspiring! But yeah...what the hell man!? You guys have a winner on your hands. A real, real winner. Like, one second I'm playing Micro Machines, the next it's a tower defense title and then out of nowhere I'm running away from some maniacal racer out to get me. I'm SUPER digging this game! The game looks like nothing I have seen before. And that's good, because this looks like a lot of fun! Thanks 7 Soft Pillows Member Jun 19, 2014 13 0 0 Software developer #14 7 Soft Pillows, Sep 29, 2015 Several thousands of people have already played Tile Rider but no one left a review in the App Store. Maybe because we released the game with broken "Rate Us" button, or probably because 95% of players didn't officially buy the game and can't leave a review. The worst reason for us would be: "the game is shit" So you may wait for more impressions for quite long What I can say for sure is that Windows Phone players are quite happy: the game has 4.5/5 rating with ~1100 reviews. I gave it a five star rating. The game is real fun. I want the levels to be longer! The game play is original and the physics is spot on. I really like how the vehicles control and how the levels varied in terms of goals etc. Great job Devs!! I would love to see a bigger world with objectives to complete that last longer. Definitely going on the list of games that I need to buy as soon as the medical bills are payed off. I swear, the moment my finances open up I'm dropping at least $100 on games that I've been missing out on... it's a loooong list lol! NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #19 NOEN, Oct 12, 2015 I've had this sitting on my device since my last comment. Sorry if anybody was waiting for my imps. I'll give it a run through this morning. NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #20 NOEN, Oct 12, 2015 Ok. I gave this a go for a little while this morning and I have to say, it's definitely different. Different in a good way though. It's hard to pin point what kind of game it actually is. It has puzzle aspects, racing, a pinch of dual stick shooting and that's just in the first 5 or so levels. I guess it's a puzzle game at heart though. The artwork is "ok". Kind of a simple "VR" Tron-esqe. Not my favorite, but it works. The music is I dunno, dubstep/jazz?? I'm horrible at trying to decipher music styles. Where the game really shines is the gameplay. It changes things up every time you turn around, which is kind of cool. You never know what the next level is going to be like. Variety, lots of variety. It's definitely the selling point of the game. Now, as far as value. I haven't played all the way through it, so I'm not sure how long it takes to play through it. There's leaderboards and achievements, so I'm sure that will keep some people playing the 35 levels over and over. I'm still on the fence about it. I really wish there were at least a couple different cars with different characteristics to drive or the ability to change your car up somehow, but that's just the "car guy" in me. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase. There's no IAPs or ads or any schenanigans going on, so it's nice to just "play" a game for a change. I'd say if you like the screenshots and/or gameplay videos, you will most likely dig this game. It may not be pretty, but the variety and gameplay makes up for it.
