Loving this game!!! Has anyone else had this issue though? I can be playing and everything is cool, but every time I lock my phone for even a second and then unlock to resume playing, it crashes out
You are way faster than me. Sounds like I have three missions left in the main story and I've easily spent twice that. I'm generally pretty slow, though, so no huge surprise.
Hello from Robot Circus! Hi everyone! I'm one of the devs from Robot Circus! Launch Day was crazy yesterday, so we're finally getting a chance to catch up on everything (like this forum)! First, huge thanks to everyone who's been playing our game and thanks for all the kind comments! We're a small team from Melbourne Australia, and we have been working really hard on Ticket to Earth. We've really poured our hearts and souls into making this the best game possible, and we feel super lucky to have been part of Apple's Celebrating Indie Games promotion!! We hadn't shown the game to the public much prior to this release... Also, because it's a new style of game, we weren't sure if people would like it. So it's amazing to hear that people are enjoying what we've done! I saw that a few people here have been asking about how the other Episodes will be released. Our plan is that the other 3 Episodes will be released as updates to the game. So, if you buy the game now, you will get the other planned Episodes. (So, you should grab it while the launch sale is on!) The remaining Episodes are quite far along in development! We showed the game at PAX East in Boston last week, and attendees were playing some levels/characters from Episodes 2, 3 and 4. The game is story driven, and there are some very cool locations and moments in the future Episodes. (No spoilers! ) I also saw a couple of suggestions here on some features/tweaks. I've noted them and we'll see what we can do! We'll try to check in here regularly, but you can also find us on Twitter @Robot_Circus. Feel free to chat with us there too! Fun fact, it wasn't until I checked out your guys Twitter page and saw how down-to-Earth (pun intended) you came off that I decided to buy the game. It nudged me in the right direction. Also, I'm a big fan of Armello, and I saw that Film Victoria logo. Gotta support another small Aussie team.
Excellent game. I would definitely advise anyone to buy it. It is one I see myself getting all the way through. Massive well done to the developers. Gameplay:
Already bought it. Another Aussie here so I wanted to support you guys. From the comments here, adding that info about updates being included might tip some into playing, so add it to your game info? I actually haven't played it yet. Will use it as a reward. Not a big puzzle fan at all but I enjoyed lara croft GO and this seems far deeper and also, total bonus, an rpg. Looking forward to playing. Good luck with sales! Also thanks to the TA people as you made me notice this one. Loved the way I can get a feel for what a game is about through this forum.
Really like what I'm hearing from the devs here, so I bought to support them. Love that future eps are free updates too.
Firstly, Thank you Kevin and team for being here and replying. Second, You won me over with your reply. I am a huge fan of puzzle rpgs but i hate to leave games unfinished - especially when they have such awesome potential as Ticket to Earth. Bying now with confidence, and may i suggest you put your plans in the app description so others who were on the fence like me will support you. Wish you all the best and hopefully the episodes come soon
Zoom I bought this one quick. The first couple levels have me excited for the game but, like others, the auto zoom when you try to draw a line is extremely off-putting. It bothers me enough that I'll wait for a fix before I finish the game. Excited that you guys are engaged with the community! Looking forward to the rest of the game, I'll check the thread for updates!
We've had this reported by a few people and are looking into it now. We're planning to have an update to address this next week!
This is incredibly polished. Such fantastic production values, it almost overshadows how great the actual game is. No worries, though, this is not just a pretty face. Very accessible, but with plenty of depth. It just feels like the complete package. Everything clicks. I haven't completed it yet, so I can't judge it in totality, but I am hugely impressed with what I've played so far.
Leave reviews! If you're enjoying this game, don't forget to leave a review. Devs who participate in forums and make games as polished as this deserve reviews. More reviews make the game more visible on the app store.
I'm also having the lock screen issue. I hope that will be fixed, especially since there is no way to save mid-level.
Going to buy the game now that the episodes have been explained as ....well developed updates... by the dev. The auto zoom is a bit of a concern from what I have seen in the videos. Especially with an iPad Pro 12.9" I don't think it is at all necessary and hopefully it will be patched as an option to not have it in the future. Might comment on that further after I delete some games to make way to install and play this big bugger. edit: Quick comments after 15 minutes. No sliders for sound effects and music.... just on/off. Slack when the rest of the game reeks of quality. And yes, the auto zoom becomes irritating very quickly. At least they implemented screen rotation...thanks for that. Looks beautiful on the big screen.
Wow... Just wow I don't like match 3 gamesm they are all the same thing over and over again. I like the first game of the genre which was puzzle quest if memory serves me right, and liked its number 2, then i liked you must build a boat. But apart from those all match 3 games are very samey, especially freemium trash. Now, i saw the vids of this and i thought ok maybe i should take the plunge. I did and i am not sorry i did so,not in the least bit. This game is great. Its take on match 3 is innovative to make that mechanic not be the entire game. This feels like a tactical rpg but with a match 3 floor to power your character up. I love all aspects of the game, the graphics, the story, the powers and most importantly the gameplay. I now started chapter 2 and the only gripe i have is the "secret objectives". Let me explain. The games for example tells you you have to kill 4 enemies, so you think that ends the mission, but when you kill them more show up and you have to reach the exit, whichbhappens to be on the other side of the map and you are already very low on health. This for me makes the game interesting but stupidly hard (since it is only hard the first time because you dont know the full objectives). However i must say this game is the right amount of hard. It is fairlybhard to do a mission, but to get every token... That is hard. All in all a great game. Congrats to the devs for making me like their match 3 game.
Bought Ticket to Earth and played it for one hour or so: highly recommended! With new episodes this game will be enough for long (5+hrs and return) air travel. Dungeon Raid p.e. (similar gameplay) is still one of my favorite games in the tube (underground subway) where I have to spend hours in a week. There is indeed some potential in Ticket to Earth for multiplayer sessions. iOS App Store lacks in good local multiplayer tactic games! (Anyone? I mean, I have some thousands of iOS games but not only ONE good local mp strategy game.) Imagine you're on a plane with a friend. There is no reliable WLAN. Nightflight, nothing to see outside. Ticket to Earth would be ideal to be played on ONE iPad (or iPhone) for two players. Amazone vs. nitro roaches. Or on two devices synced via bluetooth (without WiFi, without Game Center, without any account anywhere). That would be the pure FUN believe me. Please, devs, cevinius, consider multiplayer for Ticket to Earth! OFFLINE—and online if you want. Thx in advance. Greetings from Austria (you know: that Australia without "al")!
