I bought the game after reading all the praise given to it here and as a way to support the dev to complete the future episodes they have planned. Hopefully, from what I remember reading somewhere, the other episodes are already being worked on. I would have loved to have heard from the dev if this is actually the case. Unfortunately I never received a reply to my email about that question. So I probably wont be playing it until it is finished. I have way too much of a backlog of unfinished games as it is anyways.
Seems like a rather odd way of denying yourself the pleasure of an absolutely fantastic game that you've already bought. Do you deliberately stub your little toe, too?
Hrm...ok, so they literally just now had a price increase. I reeeeally hope this means the (at least) second episode is coming out like....TOday because usually devs don't tend to do a price increase until after new content has been added. And as much as I absolutely adore this game (I really really do) the current amount of content is just nowhere near worth $6.99....I am really glad I got it on sale because there is no way I could justify 2 short....ish chapters for seven bucks. I hope they don't lose potential sales because of such a steep price. This game really delivers, but I hope and pray it doesn't become reminiscent of Orcannon...or whatever that forgotten potential of a game was called lol.
In Firefly it was "gorram," and let's not forget "smeg" from Red Dwarf or "belgium" from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Nope......... "coming soon" does not tell me if they are currently being worked on. That is more like a hope and a prayer. I have seen "coming soon" mentioned on many game descriptions in relation to possible extra content but not all eventuate. Sometimes economics get in the way. Sometimes its just wishful thinking. Like a politician that says "I promise the new hospital is coming soon". You just know that really means "I will say whatever I have to say, to get your vote".
Do we know of the episodes will be IAP? I bought his game on day 1 and think it's one of my favorite games on iPhone/iPad. Although I got distracted by Zelda Breath of the Wild... after seeing that game I had to get a Switch. Brought back memories of the original Zelda game!
As to the pricing, curoiusly enough, it has always been 6,99 euros at my appstore. Though they did mention a discount, which means this price "increase" (to some at least) must mean no more discount. I like the game and all (so much so that it has changed my view on match3 (on this one at least)) but I don't know if I will buy the next episodes if they are as expensive as this one. Depends on what they bring in new to the game. More of a wait and see than an insta-buy.
they replied a few pages back that the episodes will be free updates and that they were already playable in some phases in previous game expos - hence, i bought the game.
Really great game but ended far too soon. I figured Episode 1 would be longer considering you only get a few missions as a duo and you can see all the weapons and skills to acquire. Glad I got it when it was $4 but the wait between eps is going to suck. In the meantime that's a gig I can free up.
Finished the episode but still got side objectives and justice missions to do. Great Game. Cant wait for Episode 2. Well done devs.
Hrm...I see they are trying to green light on steam. That's fine and all, but I really hope they aren't shifting focus to this before and ahead of releasing the rest of the episodes....they really need to focus on getting the mobile episodes out first imo...Man I really hope it's not going to be 3-4 months between each episode, for me it'd prolly get lost in my back log and all the other games coming later this year #
Soooooo, ahem, any news whatsoever concerning the next episode releases? Or... are you guys shifting focus to a PC release first instead? I would at least like to know if I should even follow or have any hope of mobile support sometime soon or at least prior to a PC launch or just put it on the back burner hoping for the rest of the game at some point further down the line lol. Are we talking a few months between episodes or an episode or two every 6 months to a year with PC as the primary focus? Thanks, Sid It would be really sad to see this game's potential not be realized on the original intended platform, and no offense, but this just wouldn't be of interest to me on my PC. I guess smaller and less grand titles have become more popular on PC lately, but I only use that monster of a machine for graphics heavy, major AAA titles. Not that I don't absolutely LOVE my mobile and handheld games, they just don't feel the same and are not as entertaining to me on my PC...I know...petty right? Takes all kinds.
Ok found out some info. Apparently PC version was in works before mobile release ever happened, PC version is almost complete already, and they are working diligently on ep. 2 even on Easter Day etc etc....and have not stopped or funneled efforts away from mobile ep. releases to work on PC port. I feel better lol, was feeling like they were giving the forums here the shady silent treatment, but they are just not as active here I guess, but are very active on their steam green light forum. Got a response in a few hours or so and evidence of constant replies all day seemingly there. Yay....yaaaaay...I'm...I'm going to disNAY
