The hype is pretty over the top on this one, whether it is deserved or not is up to each of us. For me, the game is cute but it doesn't grab me - I never did like math... I am still fine with the game, the pedigree was worth supporting the Dev and taking the chance. I will give the game more of a chance, when I am in the mood for this kind of puzzler. Is it a 5 star game? Ummm...

    I can't seem to get past 1,500.

I asked earlier but I think it gost lost, does the next tile land at a specific spot or is it random? Can't seem to build a plan as I have no idea where the next tile is gonna come on so it feels more like luck than anything I'm doing.

Work towards a corner. And you can see the next piece but if there is more than one opening, you won't know for sure which place it'll end up.

What I think he means is that they did not go for the type of iOS7esque minimalistic look that is popular nowadays (think for example Letterpress, even if it anticipated iOS7). They went for something more playful, which IMHO was a good choice since it gives a distinct personality of its own to the game. Well, they actually gave a distinct personality to each TILE of the game, which is quite a feat.

If one thing is not like another one, it does not mean that one is good and the other is not. It just means that the guy that did both is not a lazy ass that reuses his old assets and ideas for every project.

I did not pay much attention to iOS gaming recently. I genuinely did not know who the guys that made this are. I haven't played their previous game that you seem to love and I do not know in which other projects they were involved. I can guarantee you that this game is really awesome, just apparently not for you. Its the best game of its kind I have played since drop7.

It is random, but most of the time if it is a white block it will be a 3 and Most the time the tile seems to appear on the same line as one where most objects moved. But still it is random so you just have to roll with the punches.

I can guarantee that if you just focused on matching 1+2 blocks you will easily beat your score of 1,500.

Sirvo, could you explain what does Save Battery does? I tried it yesterday (played all day) but it didn't do much difference...

I don't find working towards a corner helpful. I find it better to keep larger tiles near the center so when I do make 2 large tiles they're easy to link together.

Also, new tiles are usually small and they come from the edge. Blocking edges with large tiles gives you less flexibility and the key to successful games for me has been to keep my options open.

    Other tactics I'd recommend are:

Play slowly and consider your moves - use the slow slide to see what tiles will match.

Focus on matching small tiles - don't let too many 1's and 2's build up.

If you're in a tight spot, don't always go for large matches straight away. Try to line up moves where you can clear multiple tiles at once and give yourself some free space.

Try not to get big clumps containing only 1's or 2's. Keep them spread around and you'll have more options.

Always assume that a white tile will be a 3. don't gamble on getting a higher number unless you're out of options.

My best so far is 11,304.

Great tips, this is how I played to get 10,143 also.

I got screwed on the last white tile, I was planning on it being a 3 to keep my run going and a damn 48 came out haha?!!!
