I'm not a fan of summer jobs working at Muvico 5 hours a day, and I'm retaking Algebra 2 over the summer cuz I was for some reason incredibly stupid at it (I understand everything, just **** up the tests) so... I'm just snapping up jobs that pop up on Craigslist which involve graphics and video/photo editing. Non-professional ones of course. First one I got was t-shirt designs. Superhero symbols to be precise. Would you say this looks good (minus the 'S', I'm not sure what he wants me to put in the crest yet). At least worthy of $15?
It looks okay, not sure on the colours though, they make it look more like a traffic sign than a superhero crest.
Let me say this, if you didn't say it was a superhero crest I would have assumed it was a screwed up traffic sign. Just some constructive criticism, it's still way better than what I could do.
It's the color scheme the guy gave me. I'll change the shape, but the black and yellow kinda make it hard not to give the impression of a traffic sign.
Maybe you could break up the diamond shape by adding a circle/oval behind the diamond. Then it would look less like a road sign.
That does make it a little difficult then, but yea messing with the shape is the only way to avoid it then I guess, unless he wasn't specific and you could invert the colours.
Do you really need to make it shape like a diamond? Why not try playing with other shapes, specifically those that aren't basic that you might associate with traffic signs or something. Hope you get to make one that your client likes. Goodluck!
