OK so this is not funny at all. My iTouch's dock broke. I can't charge or sync. I rebooted the iPod (my computer was saying it was an unknown device) and it is stuck on safe mode. I can't get it out. Now this is what is not funny; I can't use it or get it out of safe mode; yet it kindly lets me take a screenshot of the connect to itunes photo and worse; just reminded me of an episode of mythbusters at 6.

So anyone know how I can get it out of safe mode? If I reboot it will stay stuck on the apple for like 2 min then go to safe mode. I know it will only last me a few hours without being able to charge but I want to boot it out of safe mode to normal mode. Can anyone help? Thanks.

P.S: I know I have to take to Apple Store but I will wait 'till January. Anyways; no new apps until after the 28th.

    UPDATE!:
anyway i think this is a software error. why?
well it does not say it is charging. but here is something curious. i push down the ipod button on my ihome. a minute after that i connect the ipod. if i remove my ipod, the little ipod picture on the ihome dissapears and shows the date.

I had kind of the same problem with my phone, but that was a couple month ago, before they released the new firmware and stuff. Anyways what I did was, I just left the phone on overnight till the battery had drained and then charged it and when I turned it on again, it worked like a charm.

OK, first. I can't charge it or sync it, so should I risk emptying the battery? And two; if it is stuck in safe mode how do i leave it on overnight till the battery drains? it is on but it will take weeks before the battery runs out. on a 2g touch here.

Ok, looks like you have a different, problem, when my iPhone locked, the screens was still on, so the battery drained pretty quickly.

I agree. Super hilarious. Does the 2g ipod have a volume ringer switch? Because on the iphone all you have to do is hold top and home button while switching the ringer switch for like 2 minutes and it is like the ultimate restore.
