Just had a quick game, will post more about it later. Edit: Whoa, this game is decent. I just reached Act 3 and it slowly gets challenging. I love the story elements, they add to the atmosphere. Your Engine seems quite capable, but you need to work on the level design. Level 24 and 25 for example havent been very challenging to beat. Same goes for a bunch of lower levels, i pretty much rushed trough them. Due to engine bugs one can cheat in several levels by simply moving through the barrels, you should fix that. I really do believe that The Novice shows potential, keep it going. If you fix the bugs, add new challenging levels and advance the storyline, "The Novice" could really stand out.
