It's pretty hard to get much more specific. They've got a lot of similarities, they just feel different somehow. One is full of lush green forests, stone buildings and focuses mainly on melee and magic combat... the other is full of poisonous lakes, devastated cities and focuses on stat-based gun fights. It's really more of a gut feeling decision than anything else, personally I just get bored with the whole medieval theme, bombs and mutants are my kinda thing.
I guess I will be getting Rage in 2011... so that kind of takes the place of Fallout 3. But then again The Elder Scrolls V is coming out this year (I think). Not to mention there's Fallout: New Vegas also! Game overload! And I've already got enough games I really want!
You said you'd get Rage to replace Borderlands too... but Fallout and Borderlands are about as opposite as you can get, it can't possibly be the same as both I think if you're interested in the look of New Vegas it's best to play FO3, I'm not sure playing NV first would be a good idea so you'd miss out on the "original".
Never played Borderlands, but have been reading that from other places, looked at Borderlands and it didn't appeal to me. Ehh, maybe Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls V and Rage... but probably won't get Fallout 3 for a while. Maybe a month or two. Or if ES5 sucks I'll just get ES4.
You can pick up Oblivion with expansions for 25 dollars. Fallout 3 cost 50-60. Oblivion is more medieval and filled. Fallout 3 is, well, what a nuclear holocaust would look like. There is plenty of chilling backstory in Fallout 3. Fallout 3 wins in story. Can anyone believe the "hell" mode in New Vegas? IT LOOKS AWESOME! You have to eat and drink realistically, and everything is weighted. You'll be counting shotgun shells then.
No, he hasn't play Oblivion yet, so he could get that and wait for the new games to go down in price.
I don't think it's even had a formal announcement, so at least 12-24 months. With such giant worlds, it takes time for development.
I heard it was coming out this year but idk... might just pass on the 2 games for now and get The Sly Collection (sorry PS3 game my bad) and keep the money for AC: Brotherhood since I've never actually played an AC game before and the new game looks epic so will look at ES5 and FO: New Vegas later. Thanks for the help anyway
http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/21/determine-carmines-fate-in-gears-of-war-3-help-childs-play/ For the people who have played Gears, do you think that this next Carmine should live or die? I think the poor dude should survive. Poor Mama Carmine.
This is so nice. I'm forcing my friends to buy the shirts. You can pick up the first two at Gamestop & it's other stores for under $30.
I bought Arkedo Series - 03 PIXEL! off Live Arcade the other day and I have to say it's so damn pretty. Love it.
