Is there a stabilizer for the tray? I've scratched 3 games so far because someone accidentally nudge the console and it went crazy in there. Can't play 'em, can't resell 'em.
There is nothing like that no. Never play with your xbox standing upright. It must be laying down at all times if you wish to have your games intact. Does anyone know if there is a stabilizer in the new Xbox 360 Slims?
I've always had mine vertical and never had a scratched disc... all reports I've seen about which is better just conflicted with each other so I went with what fit my room best. Obviously you're less likely to knock the console over if it's lying down though...
Yeah, but you know better than I how fast storage space fills up. The default 60 GB is filling up fast, which is another reason to upgrade to the Slim. And yeah, I've had better luck lately keeping people away, but I still have morons in the family that don't know how to behave around technology (every single member).
I've never had it happen to me personally either, but I only had it upright when i first got it. My bro in law had a rough time with his like that and ruined a couple games. It scared me into putting it sideways for the rest of it's life lol
Thanks for the feedback, I'll probably end up getting one in the near future, buttttt with a little tinkering my Xbox is back from the grave, yet again ^^ Place your bets for how long it'll last this time On the whole vertical vs horizontal thing, I read in several places that horizontal is superior for reducing the risk of RROD as it provides better ventilation, however I have had far more luck with my console in the vertical position than the horizontal (it lasts longer between dying). Plus, I prefer it standing up, means I don't have to balance a speaker on top of it (limited space)
Ive been very fortunate. I've only RROD'ed once and thats cause the power went out and my Xbox freaked out. Once the power came back on and I turned it on it was still RROD and I was like ahhh shit... so I unplugged it, plugged it back in. Turned it on and it worked just fine ever since. It was really strange lol. Other than that *knocks on wood* I have never had a single problem with it. I've had more trouble with my Xbox and it reading discs though. It's been a little more prominant lately, but if I install the game immidiately, it works out just fine.
yo what are some good older games that would probably be pretty cheap? doesnt matter if they are popular or not. nd i saw the game Bionic Commando(the newest one for the 360) for like 10 bucks. is it worth it?
Oblivion is longer, if you really get into it, it could be anything up to (or over) 400 hours longer. Fable 2 is decent but I found no worthwhile replay value.
First time I got my xBox 360, it RROD. Damn thing had a faulty Hard Drive. - My dad was on the phone with Microsoft for 5 hours. Worse.Customer.Server.Ever.
This was when there was no such thing as a "Microsoft Store". We had to buy a ****ing new one. They refused to take it back.
That's rough. Sucks. Gotta give Microsoft credit for improving their customer service so radically though. BTW, I have always wondered.....What is RttaM?
Aha! I kinda thought you were a girl with some pretty rough language....I thought Rtta=Rita......hehe
