It only works with solo buttons... the GHWT controller has that touchpad thing and it doesn't work. With an RB guitar you use the solo buttons for the entire solo sections, and you don't have to strum the normal notes either.
Aren't they nearly the same thing....? I only played the first's multiplayer for about 20 minutes, but I'm pretty sure they're similar. Ehh while that is annoying, it's third on my list for needed improvements on GoW3. 1. No more host bullshit. Please. Maybe have some dedicated servers or...well anything? 2. Bots should be smarter and less powerful. Friggin ridiculous how they down you in 2 seconds with a lancer, all while you're immobilized by their hail of perpetually active reloaded bullets. 3.Kill stealing. Person who does the most damage should get awarded for the kill, but who ever downs the guy gets the down. But then that would just encourage people to hide in the back and just rain bullets at whoever is in the Hill and just rack up kills, while everyone else does the 'real' work. 4. Chainsaw=BS, get rid of it.
Oh right, I generally just ignore the special solo buttons completely and just use the regular buttons, same thing, don't have to move my hand down the neck.
Yeah that's what I did, but I wanted to tap the entire solo without strumming and not just the hammer ons/pull offs, so I had to buy an RB guitar. It made me quite a bit better at the game.
You can tap the solos with the regular buttons, just don't miss =P Or if you do, remember to strum again Anyone remember how difficult hammer ons and pull offs were in GH1?
You still have to hit the regular note before the hammer ons though. You're allowed to miss with the RB guitar and you won't have to strum again. If you think about it, it's emulating a guitar solo because the strings are all picked instead of strummed. Don't even get me started on HO/PO on GH1/2.
Lots of complaints about GoW MP-but I found the single player to be one of the most satisfying experiences of my video gaming life
Really? Single player felt cheesy as balls. Plus crossing those damn frozen lakes on that shitty car thing annoyed the piss out of me. I really liked the cut scenes though. I'd much rather have them make a movie out of GOW than Halo. Characters are much deeper and slowmotion on some of those executions would be sick.
So yeseterday night I popped in RDR at about 10:00 PM and started playing... next thing I know it was 3:00 AM. I have no idea how the game is so fun, but it is. It's probably one of the best gaming experiences of my life, especially with the well made cutscenes... the character body language, voice acting and the eyes are better than anything I've ever seen in a game... And the graphics on my HD TV are... stunning, to put it VERY mildly. I still fall off horses when I'm wrangling them when I take the time to look at their muscles bulging as they try to kick me off... amazing...
GoW 1 had it so people could leave the game and it would still continue. For some reason EPIC was retarded and didn't apply the same (and common) feature to GoW 2...
Great thing is that you've only brushed the surface. There's so much more for you to discover, experiment with, explore-if I were you, I would skip over the missions till later. They are pretty bland, only serving as a way to develop story and character. Free roam, shoot up some baddies, become a good/bad guy, go bounty hunting, commit some crime, steal some stuf, go to the whore house, go hunting, or just explore your environment-there's endless amounts of stuff you can do. Have fun, and go slow
Yeah, see I've been doing all the little missions and bounty hunting from Armadillo... I think it's time to move on to the next big town...
I simply can't get into it I tried and tried all night last night to like it because I so badly want to get into the awesome story telling... but I just can't get over the controls
Good, at least one of us is. I would suggest this game to anyone who is remotely close to a fan of Westerns and/or GTA IV. It's well done thats for sure, it's just not my cup-o-tea unfortunately.
lol. also Id suggest waiting to go bounty huntin until after you got a lasso, because then you get tiwce as much moneys. Also if you want to make it a little harder you can change up the options its not auto lock, I found that fun and challenging considering, its pretty easy to get kills with the auto lock
