Wait, that list wasn't for the top ten xbox 360 games? It was ten games better than rdr, right? But, yes! This game is now super awesome!
Rock Band. The highway looks more professional, the backgrounds look more professional... the game looks more professional. It's not the most important thing in the world, but GH just looks more and more childish by the day.
I thik what screwed GH was when they went with the band route. I preferred the crazy cutscenes & linear progression of the first three*. EDIT: *Four, I forgot Aerosmith.
I think what really screwed GH was the entire dev team leaving after GH2 and making Rock Band instead Did anyone play the Kane & Lynch 2 beta? I got a code but forgot to use it.
Yes. Rock Band, obviously. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_downloadable_songs_for_the_Rock_Band_series
Eh so I guess I'm the only loyal GH fan then After my trusty PS2 controller died I decided to pick up another, for the Wii this time. Which was actually a ridiculously bad idea because it meant I couldn't play any of my old GH games. D'oh. Ended up getting another PS2 controller cheap. I do own Beatles Rock Band, it was going dirt cheap around Christmas, but I really can't stand the guitar. I can understand the logic behind the design, but not having any space between the fret buttons makes it nigh-impossible for me to play well after using the GH one for so long. Luckily the GH controller is compatible with Beatles. Although it sucks major ass that I can't access any of the good DLC from that disc. Still, I'll be switching over to Power Gig when it arrives.
It's all about practise, as is everything. I switched from the GHWT guitar to one of the Beatles guitars because you can't tap the solos in RB with a GH guitar, which is pretty disasterous on Hard and above.
All GH/RB guitars are plastic. These are sturdier than most because the neck is fixed... all those crappy GH guitars with the snap-on necks ended up with connection problems.
I'm looking forward to the new realistic guitar controller (with actual strings and fret-like... frets. I really don't know what they actually are) and seeing how it works. I'll pick up the fake plastic one as well when I don't wanna break too much of a sweat, but it might be helpful as to actual guitar technique. Build up endurance at the very least.
There are two new controllers... a semi-realistic one with six buttons for each fret and a... well, real... one with six strings going straight across, that also double as an electric guitar outside of the game. I own a guitar already so I'll probably go with the semi-real one.
Hot shit! I just read this: Looks like I'll be hooking up my $1,200 Roland kit to Rock Band, finally!
That one on the bottom is almost an exact replica of my Squier, except with buttons instead of tone dials. Wonder if I'd be able to plug my in.
Just read up on it, and the guitar in the picture is actually a Squier. Though there's a lot of conversation about whether or not existing MIDI guitars would work and it seems the answer is looking like a no at the moment.
