Fallout 3 will last longest... and you'll probably remember it as a classic piece of quality gaming entertainment for years to come.
I use an almost equal amount of VATS and free aim shooting, it doesn't get boring anymore than a normal FPS would. It's not cheap either because it's stat-based so depending on certain conditions your shots can still miss.
OMG!!! I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT BFBC2!!! /facepalm /facepalm /facepalm /facepalm /facepalm /facepalm /facepalm /facepalm
Forza > Forza 3. ...and stop failing on the RB front, it's not popular because it's boring, just get the hell out of Medium difficulty.
1. Portal doesn't compare to RDR in gameplay or length, but Portal 2 on the other hand will be epic 2. You got one right good for you! 3. Another one right! 4. No, RDR is much deeper etc. 5. Forza 3 sucks! And btw Forza 4 can't even compare to GT5 6. You fight, big deal 7. Haven't played it... so I don't know 8. No, no, no, no, and no 9. Sure, haven't played that yet either but I'll agree 10. You press buttons on a fake guitar... yipee! Not. Rockband 3 looks cool though Yes: 3 I don't know: 1 No: 6 You sir, are not smart
Let's face it. Every game has it's pros & cons, & everyone has their top games that is an opinion of theirs. There is no perfect game. So, let's stop this flame war..... Together.....
Hey!!!! I enjoy playing at easy & medium because I have fun then, and I'm not constantly failing out.
That's what I used to do with GH2, then I eventually became bored out of my mind with the mediocrity and totally skipped over GH3 and RB1. Then I caved, bought RB2 and actually practiced for a while and once I got into Hard the whole game transformed into something epic. Medium to Hard is quite a challenging wall to vault, but Hard/Expert is really what makes the game such mad fun, and when you're there the learning curve is so much more subtle, you can play over and over and gradually get better without any major obstacles in your way. Medium still doesn't feel like you're really playing the song, but Hard generally has enough notes to make you feel like a total f***ing rock star.
I'm leaning towards Fallout 3...but it's so old, is it outdated? Borderlands and Bioshock 2 are much more recent....are they better options?
Which is why I don't play RB/GH that much anymore. I'd rather practice my guitar. I used to like them, but the number of games became overwhelming. I have other favorite videogames. It is an opinion. You like the music rhythm games & I dont.
Have you played through the original Bioshock? If the answer is no, get that, if the answer is yes get Bioshock 2
Yeah, they're recent. The Mona Lisa? Old news. Of Mice and Men? Why would I read that when so many other contemporary novels are out? God forbid I should ever watch Casa Blanca over Avatar. While Bioshock is a good game, it's still more of the same. If you'll excuse my crappy analogies, Bioshock made a wave in the pond of gaming, and made a distinct impact. It was the first time you immersed yourself in Rapture, and it was dang creepy. Bioshock 2 made more of a ripple. You've already been there. It's lost it's lure. It's still great, but it doesn't give you the same need to escape. Fallout 3 is a totally different experience. I'd pick it up myself (I ordered it waaay back on eBay when I started playing again, but sadly, it bounced backed when USPS thought my address didn't exist and I never got my $30 back) but there's no way I'll ever to playing it with the amount of old games I still have and new games that are coming out.
@Kamazar-what are the games you are playing the most? And do you think I should go with Fallout 3, or the Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition? That is 40 bucks more, but it has all the 5 DLC's
I'm a really communicative gamer. I like playing with other people more than I like playing by myself unless a single-player campaign is great. So most of my main games are stuff like CoD or L4D2. I play those the most. But every once in a while, a single-player game like RDR or Portal catches my eye, and I just have to finish it. The story, at least, I don't go searching for 100% of the achievements or items. I'm picky about my games, so when I say something's good, chances are it's pretty damn good. Sometimes, people don't seem to see the same flaws as I do. For example, I thought the Batman: Arkaham Asylum was great, but the gameplay was tediously repetitive at a certain point. A lot of people don't agree. Gaming is entirely subjective.
