Heading to Earth now. I'm guessing ME3 is just about over. Level 37 and 17.5 hours in. Done about half of the side missions so far. Don't want it to end :[.. I pretty much avoided going to the Citadel the entire game. That's probably where the other half of the side missions come from. Did all the other missions though.

Edit: Shepard's descent to Earth was one hell of a cutscene. Guess I might as well play the rest of the game..

Edit: Wow, I'm pretty sure I'm at the final scene of the game, and guess what? My gun glitches and won't shoot, lol wtf. Loading the last autosave..

Not sure what I think of the ending. It's definitely not as catastrophic as the internet has made it out to be though. That's probably because I haven't played the first two games and have no idea what events took place before ME3. According to IGN, I got the "worst" ending since I had a EMS of only 1600. Consequence of beating the game in under 20 hours, lol. Needless to say, I'll be going back and completing other side missions. Actually, I might just start from the beginning since I pretty much hated every single choice I made. Either way, ME3 was an amazing experience. Best console shooter I've played by far. I still think I enjoyed Skyrim more though. Anyways, grabbing ME and ME2 when I can during the summer and running through them. Spent 5.5 hours on ME3 today. I don't remember the last time I felt like I just needed to finish a game. Beat the game in just 6-7 sittings. Going to watch the other 6 endings on IGN now. Getting a new game for the 360 once I'm back home on Friday.

Edit: My one complaint about the ending is the "guy" who explains the Reapers to you at the end. Those few minutes were full of "wtfs" and "lols". After watching all 7 endings, it's a little disappointing seeing how they're all pretty much identical when they could take 10+ more hours to unlock the alternatives. Lastly,
the ending was just as bad as it would have been had they not stopped the Reapers. Humanity and all the other races in the present day were pretty much all wiped out.
Looking forward to seeing what the DLC will offer for ME3's ending.

Get most of the War Assets and perhaps that will change. ;) Also, check out the Indoctrination Theory videos on YouTube, specifically the one by ACAVYOS. Or play the first two games and piece it together from what you get in those titles. Seriously, best series of all time.

Might commit a few gaming sins this weekend and trade in games for the first time..including Arkham City, AC Revelations, possibly a few others, and a number of 3DS games. Maybe I'll buy my first used games ever too and grab ME and ME2 since I don't think they have new copies anymore. Games of I'm thinking about getting: Amalur, Dark Souls, UMvC3, and Kid Icarus for the 3DS.

Yeah, they have a pretty good deal at GS right now. You get 60% more than what you'd usually get for trading in a game if you're a member. Getting over $30 for Batman. Only paid $40 for it on sale. ACR is a little less though, but I only paid $30 for it. Awesome prices definitely. Might be trading in quite a few 3DS and 360 games.

Selling ACR, Fable III, Arkham City, Rage - 360, LEGO Pirates, Starfox, Dead or Alive, Super Scribblenauts - DS/3DS, and my 6th gen. iPod Nano tomorrow. Spring Cleaning. Will be getting quite a bit from all of that.

Going to grab ME + ME2 along with GoW + GoW2 if I seem them along with Dark Souls if I'm in the mood. Also getting Kid Icarus for the 3DS. Should be a fun trip to GameStop.

Got GoW + GoW2. Time to see what happened earlier in the storyline. Also grabbed Dark Souls. Definitely going to play the hell out of it. Hope I like it.

Killer deals going on at GameStop right now for new games: http://www.gamestop.com/collection/gamestop-sale and older classics: http://www.gamestop.com/gs/landing/preowned-under-20/.

And I just got new games..

Deals on new games: ME3 down to $50 already, ACR to $20, AC to $30, SSX to $40, Kingdoms of Amalur to $40, Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition to $30, and so many other deals.

Going to be grabbing Kingdoms of Amalur and MKKE for sure. Also getting Live renewed and two play and charge kits. Most likely getting ME + ME2 as well.

Girlfriend just showed me that she got every single one of these for me for our three year anniversary over Skype :]. 7 new games to play. That should be enough console games to last me until mid-summer at least, especially with all these RPGs. Excited to try Dark Souls tomorrow night.

The reviews were right. If you're looking for a game to play for fun, Dark Souls isn't it. This feels more like a rite of passage for RPG fans. Brutal, beautiful. Don't know how many times I've died in the past hour. I just wish you could pause the game, but no, you're not even allowed that amenity. It's going to be a long journey.

I've been stuck in the same place for nearly two hours now. Holy shit.

WHAT? I was going to buy it, but that's rediculous! No pausing?!

Dark Souls makes the difficulty level of Skyrim and every other RPG I've played look like a complete joke. Oh my goodness. When you finally make some progress after dying 25 times, it's a good feeling.

Edit: Holy shit, my game on Dark Souls wasn't saved?! Well, that was a good use of 3-4 hours of frustration..

Edit: Three hours in again. Wow, I've played this a lot today. Got the Drake's Sword from the red dragon on the bridge. Game got a lot easier after that. Getting better at it, but wow, this game really hits you hard right from the start. Brutal.

Ok, I think I think I've had enough for one day. Total playtime is probably around 8 hours now. There's something addicting about dying 25 times every hour. It just keeps you coming back for more..death. Dark Souls is frustrating and unforgiving in every way, too much so at times. At the Gargoyle boss now. Tried 3 times so far. I hate how you can't pause. Pressing the freaking home button on the controller doesn't even pause the game. I hate how your money/xp drops when you die. I hate the terrible checkpoints. Looking forward to more punishment in the near future.

I think I'd be done with the first Gears of War by now, lol..

Literally don't remember the last time I gamed this long in one day.

Lol. You were probably like "I'll just beat this part and then I'll stop"...
40 deaths later "yes! I finished woot woot woot woot" and then you celebrated by playing even more.
I just rage quit after 3 deaths. That didn't come in handy when I was playing halo reach all skulls on one player.

Not being able to pause is bizarre. That definitely has me rethinking having it on my wish list. Still... I do find it oddly compelling anyway. LOL.

Started Gears of War today. Just got through Act I. It plays pretty much exactly like the third game. Graphics show their age. Unreal Engine 3 hadn't come out yet. The difficulty level is definitely higher though. Playing it for the storyline, lol. Will play GoW2 once I get through this one, and then I might replay GoW3 even. Getting ME, ME2, Amalur, and MK: KE tomorrow xP. Don't want to play any more Dark Souls right now -_-..

Edit: On Act 3 already. Guess this'll just be an 8 hour game then. I finally figured out what the reload bar thing was for, lmao. Can't believe I went through all of GoW3 without knowing that you could quick reload. The story in GoW sucks so far in comparison to GoW3. I thought it'd give you an explanation of what was happening, but no, you get freed from jail, and from then on, all you do is kill waves of grubs. Maybe later on..

    Edit: Onto Act 4..

Just finished Act 4. Guess I'll save the last fifth of the game for tomorrow. Still no explanation for the events taking place. Hope the second one is better. Lots of smalls things that made GoW3 better that are missing.

Edit: From my gf for our three years xD. Not pictured: 1600 Microsoft Points card to buy ME with.

Backtothis - you are playing so many games at once. I can't do that. LOL.

I did buy Pinball Arcade last night. It's great. It's missing the cool features of Pinball FX2 in terms of high score chasing and such, but hopefully those things can be added later. I know they are planning tournaments and such, at least. More importantly it's sims of real pinball machines designed by real pinball designers. Way better than the fan-made, in effect, FX2 games, though obviously that's IMHO. Since I play real pinball all the time, then perhaps obviously these are going to appeal to me more.

The physics are better than any other such game, but they still are very digital in nature. By that I mean that the ball does the same things over and over. For example if I try to flipper pass from the right flipper to the left, the ball tends to move in exactly the same path each time, or a small set of possibilities. I wish they could make that more realistic/less repetitive, but nobody else has been able to do better with that either.
