Maybe I should have said pulling an activision, referring to the fact they've made it into a yearly series. I feel that that really lowers my enthusiasm for a series.

I'm so freakin' addicted to SSX. IGN said it better than I could with the line "This is what happens when you don’t just put the game out every year, but spend your time crafting it, creating the ultimate experience."

Every time I stop playing, I think of ten reasons I should jump straight back in.

Bought kingdoms of Amalur and I must admit its very good. Second time I've bought a game I had no idea what to do in, get used to it though (first was skyrim heh).

    Edit:
This is one of the best games I've played. I don't know why many say the storyline is bad; because it isn't. I've played it for 5 hours and it is very good. The side quests actually are fun to do, and they are really interesting unlike skyrim's. For example, Webwood was infested by spiders and they had to figure out what to do.

SSX is great, but I don't recommend using cloud saves with it unless you have fast upload speeds (and no data cap). My ghost save is already 100+ MB and I don't feel like I have that much ghost data yet. The end result is that after I power off my Xbox, it continues to run for a long time while it uploads the ghost data to the cloud. My DSL service has pretty good download speeds, but pretty slow upload. Even still it seems like it takes longer than it should.

I'm going to copy my save off the cloud and to a flash drive, so I can tote it between our two Xboxes that way. For me, at least, using cloud saves with this game is not a good idea. LOL. Other games don't seem to have such large save files, just SSX. Or at least of the ones I've played since the advent of the dashboard update.

Played four hours of ACR today. At ten hours total now. Already at sequence 6 of 9, and have been doing plenty of side stuff too. The game's getting a little repetitive now though. You generally do the same thing the entire game, especially since the variation in side-quests/tasks is incredibly low.

Edit: At 12 hours now. Wow, doubled my total playing time today. Not doing any kind of gaming for the next three days though. I kind of wish I knew what happened in the first three AC games, meh. I feel bad for Altair. I wonder what the 5th and final memory will be. On sequence 7 of 9 now. Was on sequence 3 when I started today..total sync at 40%.

The new details of ACIII sound awesome though. Here's IGN's summary on what they know: http://ps3.ign.com/articles/121/1219876p1.html?utm_campaign=twposts&utm_source=twitter. They definitely picked a brilliant time period/event for the game to take place in. Should be extremely interesting.

I like the last part of the article:

"A press release earlier today stated that Assassin's Creed III is 'the largest project in Ubisoft's history' and that it had a development time of 'over three years and twice the production capacity of any previous Ubisoft game."'

    Should be a fine piece.

    ----------

Girlfriend was able to pick a copy of ME3 for me! Turns out they had plenty of copies in stock at GameStop. Can't wait to play it Friday night once I'm back home for break. Got a new copy of Rayman Origins to play through too. Game count is at 10 now after two and a half months, woot.

The 100MB ghost file is it's maximum size, it'll stay there regardless of how many ghosts you create. I think with the PS3's Plus service you can choose exactly what gets uploaded, so it'd ignore the ghost data completely. The actual save is only about 500KB. I dunno if the 360 has that option...

I dnt know how but somehow I managed to buy all three consoles of current gen. Thought I was done with console gaming (and gaming in general) after ps2.

Got the 360 +kinect for kids today. Not looking for games for myself. Only going to buy bayonetta I think. Ps3 version was supposedly too shitty so never got around buying that.

Any recs for kinect games? Got the kinect adventure and kinect sports pack. Gonna buy fruit ninja as soon as I get some MS points in my account. Also kinectimals is a confirmed purchase too. Anyone else uses kinect here?

Dance Central 1/2 are really good. For kids, you might prefer the Just Dance series. There's a Kids version of that, and Just Dance is much more lenient, less about accuracy. I like Kinect Sports 2 as well. It's not as good as KS1, but still has fun stuff and they are adding more minigames. 2 free DLC packs so far.

My kids like Sonic Riders Kinect (I'm forgetting the name). It has a *terrible* interface - I mean really. I find it aggravating, but my kids take it in stride - but once the races start it's fun.

Fruit Ninja Kinect is awesome. Definitely get that.

Playing the Assassin's Creed games before it is an absolute necessity. The first one has by far the best story IMO.

    Anyway, SFxT is excellent.

If there is a way to do that on Xbox, I'm not sure how. Besides that, I would want to have a single set of ghost data anyway, so I'm just going to use a flash drive for my SSX save data.

The problem with these dance games is that I'm not in US and neither me, nor the kids listen to English songs. So not sure how much they'll enjoy those games. If it had a Bollywood version, I'd be all over it! Still going to give it a try if I find a demo for these games.

Kids didn't love KS1 as much as kinect adventures so not getting KS2 for sure. I did pick up gun stringer (with free fruit ninja) today though. Kids loved FN. Haven't tried Gun stringer yet. Kinectimals was worth it too except that I had to turn it off coz my son and nephew wouldn't stop fighting who gets to play it next (no local multiplayer in that game from what I've seen).

Also picked up kinect Disneyland but it didn't play coz of some region error. Box said it was for pal region (which is the same as my Xbox) so that was a disappointment.

For myself, I got bayonetta and forza 3 bundle (couldnt find baynotta alone and the two game set cost 30 bucks only so didn't matter much). And WET (another old game I wanted to try out). So in the end, I now have more than twice as many games in 2 days of owning an Xbox than I did in 2 years of ps3 (which was a grand total of 3 btw).

Just finished AC Revelations. What a peculiar ending. I had no idea what the hell was happening since I didn't play the first three games. My roommate gave me a quick rundown though. Really interesting plot. Probably the best storyline out of all the games I've played on the 360 so far. I want to play the earlier games before ACIII is out. Ezio is such a memorable character. Took 13.5 hours to go through the game. At 50% synch. Killed 1500 people. Might come back to it one day and do some more small things. One thing I didn't really like was that there aren't any real side quests, but that's alright I guess. Renovated all the blacksmiths and banks xD.

Going to play ME3 and Rayman Origins during spring break, which starts tomorrow!

I want to note that The Gunstringer has a scene in it (which you can see in the demo) in which a character is having sex with a crocodile (or something) and it goes on *forever*. It's not realistic at all, but still. There's no mistaking what is going on. I was pretty disappointed as I felt that was completely inappropriate for what would otherwise be a pretty family friendly game. Figured I should point that out. I haven't played the full game yet, only the demo. I didn't find that scene particularly funny either, just juvenile, so it didn't do anything for me either. The game itself seemed like it was fun from the demo.

Started Rayman Origins today. Played through the first world with the gf. Love the art style. It's a great 2D platformer in any case. Definitely worth the $20 I paid for a new copy.

Started Mass Effect 3 today as well. First time playing a console ME game. It's brilliant. I think I'm 2-3 hours in already. Going to go back and play through the first and second ones whenever I get the chance for sure. Having a great time so far.

Edit: Is anything else big coming out in the next couple of months? Just glanced at the upcoming list of releases for the 360 for the next three months, and I don't think I saw anything close to the scale of ME3, Skyrim, Arkham City, etc. coming out. Not interested in getting any more shooters. Right now, all I have left on my wish-list of recent releases are Kingdoms of Amalur, Dark Souls, and UMvC3.

Need to renew my Live subscription in a week :[.

Trials Evolution. That's, to me, the biggest release this year. All IMHO stuff, of course. :) Rumor has it it will be out in April. I can't wait! In the mean time SSX is pretty darn fine.

My gf and I were planning on finishing Rayman Origins before I headed back to Austin today. Just when we thought the game had ended, 5 new worlds popped up, doubling the content. Needless to say, we're not done with the game yet. Incredible amount of content in the game. The co-op feature is seriously awesome. Still in love with the art. Crazy deal getting it new for $20.

ME3 is still awesome. About 6 hours in now..after a week and a half. Barely had any chances to play during break. Will fix that in the upcoming weeks hopefully.

Minecraft 360 has an official release date... announcement date??? LOL. 2 days until they announce when it will be released. My kids will be excited about this non-announcement anyway. LOL.
