I got some cash for christmas, I have the original Xbox which got the RROD. But now its fixed itself. I ordered a wireless adaptor from amazon, would it be better to trade in the orig xbox and return the wireless adaptor and pick up the 360 S? I will buy a larger hard drive and I don't want the kinect. Basically if I can find the console with a 4GB HDD with all the cables for less than 150 Ill buy it. So if anyone knows a site where I can pick one up ill be grateful!!
The 360 S is so much quieter, and having all the hard drive space is really nice for installing all your games. I'd say it's worth it, since you're already set on getting the wireless adapter. I dunno where you could trade your old one in, but that's the course I would take.
Got an xbox (4 Gb) + kinect + 2 kinect games for 200 euro. The price is closer to wii than to PS3. Are they dumping the prices to earn money with game sales? I also got Marvel vs Capcom 3. Oh my, have games changed since my mega drive times. I'm having a blast.

Just "beat" my first XBOX game! Got through the MW3 campaign in a little over six hours. Ending caught me by surprise since the completion by was under 50%. You have to beat the other difficulties to get it to 100%, pretty misleading, lol. Time to try out MW3 on Live :]. Hopefully, I can beat the main campaign for Skyrim, Fable III, Reach, and a few other games by the end of break. Won't be bringing it with me to college sadly once school starts again.
Just put three hours into the Reach campaign. Nothing special. Just playing it through since it offers co-op. Meh.
Top three worth getting out of these? Want to play through a few more of the recent games before break is over in two to three weeks. I'll give you my opinion on Marvel vs Capcom as it is the only one I've played so far (I've got Tekken 6, DOA 4 and MK vs DC coming) Characters: There are lots of them and they are all very different. The bad thing is they are not balanced (some are way better than others) Modes: Not many. Looks like a nice game to compete against others online or with friends at home. When you play solo it's better to play on hard levels, because if you play on easier ones you get tired of playing with the same characters and just winning. I change characters a lot in order to feel the game fresh every time. Visuals: Great visuals but in excess sometimes. I mean, I cannot play this game for a long time because the amount of flashes and colours just hurts my eyes. Maybe play with sunglasses. Gameplay: As many fighting games with the new coming of the genre, it caters to newcomers. It's very easy to pull combos even if you are not using the simple setting. All in all, it is a good game, but not a very good game. I have to have a few matches against my wife or my cousins to really see its potential (haven't done it yet)
Well a big thing would be have you played the other GoW and AC games, as continuing their story would be good rather than getting something else, well for me anyway. Personally I would go Arkham City, Dark Souls and Battlefield. But those are the games i want anyway.
I'd say Arkham City, Deus Ex and Saints Row but I'd say BF3 is a good choice as well if you're not into Saints Row's whackiness.
What would be the best fighting game for Xbox? I have Marvel vs Capcom and have ordered DOA4, Tekken6 and MK vs DCU. Any others I must be interested in? When I was a kid my favourites were Street fighter and SNK ones (have not ordered them yet as I have SFIV and KOF on the iphone).
Haven't played anything on the XBOX before, lol, so they're pretty much new IPs for me. Still a good idea getting GoW 3 without having played the others? Will get Arkham City for sure then, thanks. Is Dark Souls a dungeon crawler like Baldur's Gate/etc...or something else? I think I'll actually pass on Battlefield 3 since all I've been playing so far are FPS and Skyrim.
Get gow 3. It had a great campaign. i loved it and only played through half of gow 2s campaign. just look up the story of the series on wikipedia so you know what happened before. I would suggest staying away from dark souls. Its extremely hard and punishing.
Don't skip out on GoW 1&2s campaign, they are both awesome (GoW 1's campaign is kind of renowned for its greatness, GoW 2 and 3 kind of fell off a bit but were still good.) Get that, then get Gears 3.
Get SSF4 for sure, it is awesome. Personally my favorite is MvC, due to the hectic nature and the fact that I grew up with MvC 2 on the Dreamcast. You should try some of the Arcade games, they have SF II and III on there as well as Mortal Kombat and I believe some KOF games. If you are looking for more modern stuff I recommend the previously mention SSF4 and the new Mortal Kombat, both are a ton of fun. Oh, and get a fightstick. It really enhances all fighting games.
Thanks for the info! I'll get SSF4, Mortal Kombat and KOF eventually. As for the fight stick, I'm really OK with the Xbox controller so far. About the hectic nature of MvC. The game is crazy. I got a little bored at the beginning but I'm playing at the harder difficulties now and it really brings the game to its best. PS: I think I'll get VF5 and MK in the end
