I find the new dashboard quicker and easier to navigate... once you learn about the shoulder buttons to jump between categories. For one thing you always know which way to go to get to a particular category, which wasn't true of the old dashboard. With the old dashboard I'd inevitably go the wrong direction (the long way) and I'd often overshoot and have to go back. I thought that was pretty annoying. This new dashboard fixes that. Also cloud saves and profile roaming are awesome improvements. We have 2 Xboxes and I can just play on whichever one I want to. No need to move anything. Yes, the bigger ads are obnoxious, but the improvements make up for it IMHO.
I found out last night that cloud saves are synced with your HDD. That's a relief. Or at least I think they are. I was copying saves from the cloud to my HDD to back them up, but every game I've played since moving the save to the cloud already had a save on the HDD. Then when I copied saves of other games which I hadn't played from the cloud yet, after it copied the save, the cloud save said "In sync" instead of "Cloud only". I will need to experiment to figure out if you can play the HDD version and have that synced up to the cloud, or it only syncs down from the cloud.
Blades were the best, everything since then has been terrible. I couldn't believe they went for a sub-1080 display. It's a dashboard for crying out loud, it's the first thing people see when they turn on the console and it should be showcasing the kind of crisp, clean quality HD gaming can provide.
gotham city impostors beta out today. http://www.eurogamer.net/giveaways.php?id=87101 go there if you want in
Having a really good time with the 360 so far. I've honestly never been interested in the XBOX until recently. Always been more of a Nintendo/Sony, lol. Clocked about 15 hours into Reach, Fable III, Skyrim, and MW3 since Tuesday night. Good stuff. Glad to be back in the console gaming scene.
First time playing on Live at my house today. Can't believe how good the connection is even with my internet. Pretty much completely lag-free playing Reach.
Need opinions Skyrim or batman arkham city I like open worlds and traveling to many different types of areas. I also like a good simple fighting mechanic. I also like a game that will not keep me bored for more then 10 minutes. Thanks in advance
havent played arkham city but I have heard its very good but short. Optimum choice would be to buy arkham city and play it for like a week or whatever. Then trade it in for skyrim which will last you for ages after.
Need help choosing a skyrim character. I need something that looks really good and can be very good with weapons (strong) but also slightly magical and stealthy, not magic-stealthy tough.
What do you mean choose a character? If you mean race well they just get small boosts so it's not too big a deal. But your character is created by how you play the game. So play whatever way you want.
I have both, and I can say, if you have a HDTV, buy them both. They are very good, but I'd have to say skyrim is better. Better by not much, though. It's a hard choice, so just get both is all I can say. I can't say anything bad about either games.
If you're not just blasting through the story, it's one of the longest action games in a long time. It took me 30 hours to finish the story when combining it with Riddler puzzles and side-missions, that's not counting the 15+ hours I then put into mastering the challenge mode, nor is it counting New Game+ which adds a new level of difficulty to the game. It's obviously still not a scratch on Skyrim's potential length, but excellent value nonetheless.
