I just grabbed Trenches and Outland, haven't given Outland a go but Trenched is awesome for an arcade game. 4 player coop with great customization leads to lots of fun.
So apparently they're releasing a 5th Anniversary Edition of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for $30. Never played an Elder Scrolls game before, though I like Fallout and have Skyrim preordered. Some people say the game hasn't aged well, others say it's amazing and to get it. What do you guys think? ...Oh and apparently it also comes with a $10 coupon for Skyrim and a Skyrim strategy guide.
From what I hear, if you've never played Oblivion before, it's worth giving it a shot with the 5th Anniversary Edition. And I'm considering getting myself some Microsoft points soon... Should I get Shadow Complex (which I've been wanting since December) or DLC for New Vegas (which me and my friends have all been hooked on lately)?
New Vegas is decent, almost disappointing after Fallout 3 if you ask me, but Shadow Complex... that's the game that makes XBLA worthwhile.
As much as I love NV right now, I can see where it was a letdown. Fallout 3 was one of my all time favorite games for a long time, but NV got boring extremely quickly, especially if you try to do the main quest first. Luckily a bunch of my friends got back into it and helped me do some side quests and secret stuff first, which helped make the game a lot more fun to play. That said, I think I'll probably go with Shadow Complex over DLC. I've been wanting that game for a while, I've been a long time fan of metroidvania games, and SC was one of the best from the demo I played.
The only one I really want to get from those is Bastion. Like Rocketman said, this batch of games that are gonna be released pales in comparison to previous Summer of Arcade offerings. Bastion looks very, very pretty though. Word is there's New Game + in the game too, which I've always been a fan of.

Halo: Reach Banshee Avatar Prop promo code Hi, I am willing to give away my Halo Reach Banshee Avatar Prop to the first person that meets the following requirements and PMs me: You must be a senior member. You must have a touch arcade join date from december 2010 or earlier. EDIT: Gone.
I'm a lot more than slightly disappointed... I've been looking forward to this since I heard about it... Ah well, at least I have Revenge to fall back on.
I received a free XBox 360 from the Microsoft store because I was a student that made a purchase of over $700 bucks. Anyway, jumped over to Reach and currently enjoying it. Although the controller feels kind of weird, being a PS3 junky.
I ended up passing on Hard Corps, but picked up Torchlight, which I'm enjoying quite a bit. I think it's worth the 800 point sale price for sure (which ends tonight, or early tomorrow, anyway).
Yep same here Hard Corps was just old school gaming for me - enjoyable but not worth 800 points. Torchlight is excellent
