I want to pick up Hot Pursuit at some point too. Actually because I've played the iPhone version and liked it. But I'll wait for it to hit $20.
I played the Crysis 2 demo and was done with it in half an hour. I simply can't play FPS games online. Die. Die. Die. They are no fun for me at all. I realize if you're an ubergamer it's a different story. For me, I'd rather punch somebody in the face again in Kinect Sports Boxing. Maybe the single player is worth it, but not for full price when I know the main part of those games is playing it online.
It's not always die die die. It just takes longer than 30 minutes of play to figure out how to deceive* another human being. Every MP game I play results in a few of hours of sucking, there's just too much there to master within a single day. The key is to enjoy playing, even if you're losing. If you can enjoy that you'll find yourself getting better without realizing it, then before you know it you're finishing matches with 100+ kills (Call of Duty 4 - Shipment). *...and a lot of it is more about deception than reflex speed or aiming skill. You learn how other people play, how they'll react to a situation, where they'll move to... then use this knowledge to get an easy kill on them. I can't count how many times I've seen a guy run behind a wall in CoD and known exactly where he was hiding in order to shoot him through it, or known just where he'd pop up so I can surprise him with a knife kill.
Actually I got it for free. My dad is a screenprinter and does work for EA, so I get EA games for free (usually). Now that I'm thinking about it... Isn't crysis 2 being released by EA? Just checked, yes it is. Guess I can get that one soon then . Also I love how you Brits spell words like "favour" and "colour". It looks so sophisticated.
Crysis 2 sounds like the perfect game to pick up during the summer lull when there's nothing else worth playing. By then it'll have dropped $10 or so. In the meantime my money will be spent on my 3DS and Portal 2.
More like 20, but yes, I'm not getting it now. Gotta buy the Orange Box, Portal 2, Brink, LA Noire, and inFamous 2... just waiting a few months couldn't hurt.
...On PC. On consoles the only thing functional is Portal. Half-Life is an FPS made for PC and doesn't play well at all on a console. Team Fortress 2 is a ghost town.
Watch this and soil your pants: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhwyLqyt5-I&hd=1 Less than a month now
Anyone interested in Shift 2? The first one was alright but this looks quite good, although if I just had a wheel I could enjoy it heaps more. Also, most games seem to come out on Tuesdays, just saw this trend.
Half Life plays perfectly well on the 360. I've completed the game on both that and PC, there's no significant difference.
Bwahahaha that is such a slap to the face. Surprised they have the audacity to delay Duke Nukem forever once again but why am I not surprised...
I've got my preorder in for Portal 2. Only reason I pre-ordered was Amazon adding a $20 gaming gift card and already being $5 off retail (and no tax for me). I'm pretty excited for it. I'm getting the 360 version because my little Mac mini might not be up to Portal 2's higher requirements, and I don't have a PS3. Plus avatar awards! Woohoo! Also, with regard to the Duke delay (a game I'm not interested in, but that's beside the point)... who thinks this "delay" is really just a publicity stunt and the game will be released on time? Ok, probably not, but it wouldn't be a bad little stunt to have performed. It's certainly got them in the (gaming) news.
I was going to get it off of Steam for my Mac anyway... A game that's been delayed countless times and cancelled countless times... just got another delay. Well, with how long it's been you can wait another month right?
Maybe it's just me, but I found it MUCH more enjoyable the second time around when I got to play through it on my Mac. On Xbox it never quite hooked me.
Yes, I will agree that the song is amazing. The gameplay looks good too, but I wish it played like that. The actual game isn't really anything like that in terms of movement, combos, etc.
