I cant believe I have not been interested in Brink. I just watch a video by accident and it looks unreal. Im going to be keeping an eye on it now.
Yup, I've been eyeballing it and drooling for a while, but I might skip if the reviews are below an 8. I've gotta get LA Noire on the same day, and then inFamous 2 and Portal 2.
Should I get the Orange Box and Garry's Mod from Steam for $40 or wait and buy Portal 2... I really wanna play HL2 and TF2, I already had Portal for free from Steam before.
I don't care much for TF2 but if you've never played HL2 then you really need to. It's starting to show it's age but it's still nothing less than awesome... it'll probably last you longer than Portal 2 as well so you can play it while you save up more money
I s'pose... Brink is looking good, but I'm not so sure they'll get they're game good on the first time around... maybe Brink 2, maybe.
Homefront really does look mediocre TBH. It's only an average of 70ish on metacritic and has a campaign less than 5 hours long. Besides, I think Crysis 2 is gonna blow this away and it's only a week more.
1,500 posts! I'm getting more excited about Crysis 2 now it's almost here. Moreso the single player though... to be honest I hardly play MP anymore other than CoD4 and BFBC2 but I'll definitely give it a chance. BF3 I'm determined to get my ass online for.
FPS's online aren't much fun for me, so the only thing I'd be interested in is a single-player campaign. I tried to play Crysis 2 demo online and dying over and over really loses it's sheen in only a matter of minutes. So unless it has a really stellar single-player campaign, I won't be buying it. Mind you, I wouldn't buy it at release anyway as I'm not much for spending $50+ on any game.
1502 now I joined earlier than you and I have only a fraction of your posts haha. Crysis 2's singleplayer does look good, it has that cinematic feel to it that immerses you into that game. I really hope it's not too short - something all shooters are nowadays.
Kinect Sports. I.e. this is a silly question. It all depends on what you like. For me, the answer is Kinect Sports. Second would be NBA Jam. I have near zero interest in realistic sports games. Madden is about as unfun as you can get. Like I say, depends on what you like.
I'm going with Gamereactor Sweden on this, the difference has been overblown as usual. All versions look fantastic, better than most other games, with the 360 taking a slight lead over the PS3 version and the PC version slaughtering them both. It's not enough to make me want to pay for Live. They also said it's got "more varied action, tighter gun battles and more exciting environments" than CoD, Medal of Honor and Killzone, not to mention a longer campaign. Sounds like a purchase.
Crisis 2: looks pretty good, but I don't think it will be a purchase for me, at least not until the price drops MK 9: Played the demo, all 4 characters and on all difficulties. Honestly I was a little disappointed. I want the game to be good, great even, but I can't make it out to be something it is not. The game is just good and nothing more, but I have hope that the final game will be better. As it stands now I go with my previous score, an 8/10. The game is too easy, even on the hardest mode. Now I'm not looking for a Ninja Gaiden-like difficulty, I just want something that can provide a challenge. Overall I think the gameplay isn't as good as SF4 or MVC 3 are. I think the lack of combos really just shuts the game down and doesn't allow for expansion or actual skill and really limits the game in terms of tournament play. With a game like MvC 3, combos can grow into 50 hit or even 100 hit combos, where here most combos end before double digits. In MvC3 or SF, pro players are constantly adding on to combos and finding new ways to extend them or start them and add as much damage as they can. I feel like in MK, once the best combos are found out, there is no room to expand upon that and I think that everybody and their mom will easily be able to learn that max combo and use it online. I don't see MK as a combo oriented game, which I'm pretty sure they are trying to push this time around. It just doesn't work for me. Also the x-ray moves get boring after the first handful of times and it just gets really gimmicky. Gears of War 3: Looking forward to the beta in less than a month, got my Bulletstorm ready to go. I'm glad that they went back to a faster movement speed, Gears 2 really felt sluggish compared to the first. Other notes: I got NFS Hot Pursuit today. Played it at E3 last year and have wanted it since. I hope it is great, and I hope people still play online.
