not buying it, I'm 5'8 (I'm 14 too) and I'm taller than most of my friends. There's just no way you're already 6'5
Using my powers of deception and resourcefullness I have evaded my parents' lockdown on anything involing 'sex' or 'nudity' or 'fun' and managed to secure myself a copy of Red Dead Redemption Fun game.
Hahaha after they bought it for me thinking it was just a bloody old western game did I tell them that its like olden times gta
You should invest in some basketball skills then. Then you can buy every Xbox game you want (Especially if you continue to grow)
Castle Crashers was one of the first games I downloaded and bought, and I was so disappointed with it. Not only is it, as Midian put so well, a simplistic flash game at heart, the online multiplayer (for public games at least) is completely broken by the amount of 12 year olds with all their characters at maxed out levels. Gotta be one of the most over-rated game I've come across imo I have very similar feelings about Geometry Wars. I can see redemption in it though, had I played it when it first came out, before I had an iDevice, I probably would have loved it. But as it is, I was spoilt for dual-stick shooters by the time I got to it, and I could see no point in playing it on my console instead of AAA titles, when I could play similar games on my iDevice. And as it was, Geometry Wars got released on the platform like 6 months afterwards. Not a bad title on a portable console. As for the rest, MvC2 and Street Fighter I haven't tried as Fighting games aren't really my bag, BF 1943 was a good game but the timed trial gave me as much playtime as I wanted, Toy Soldiers was kind of meh for me, and Costume Quest just doesn't appeal to me. I bought Braid around the same time as Castle Crashers, after hearing it was this amazing platformer, so was pretty disappointed to find a puzzle game. I got about halfway thru before failing to return to it, the narrative just didn't pull me in and some of the puzzle solutions just don't feel clever to me, but cheap (notably rearranging the puzzle pieces to form a platform) Pac Man CE DX, Trials, Shadow Complex, and Limbo are all on my to buy/try list. My principle problem with XBLA games is they're too simple, although there are some great examples that defy that generalisation. I find it hard enough to find time to sit down and play my console anyway, so I'm a lot more picky about what games I play on it.
Geometry Wars' main redeeming feature is just how chaotic it is. Nothing quite matches it in terms of frantic desperation and insane psychedelic visuals, not even the iOS port. Geo Wars 2 did it better though, adding six new modes: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
Oh yea, all mentions of Geometry Wars in my post refer to the 2nd installation, didn't see any point in buying the first one as it's not like I'm missing out on any story. Also, visuals aside, I'd say Tilt to Live matches the level of chaos and frantic desperation in Geometry Wars.
hey guys, so i got black ops. i've been playin awhile on combat training, but being the first fps i've ever played, i suck pretty badly. after going into some real matches, i get destroyed every time. Does it just get better over time? and also and tips on how to do good?
If you wanna get good at Call of Duty, you have to lower yourself to the level of others and restrict your choice of weapons and tactics down to the cheapest most effective few. Never stop repeating the same boring strategy and you'll come out on top, that's how CoD rolls.
Don't forget about camping out near spawn sites and randomly shooting until you get an overpowered perk that will kill everybody in the game I gotta say though, for all the beating that BO takes, Nazi Zombies is DAMN good. Played at a friends house today- survived 18 rounds with only a pistol!
Also try turning your sensitivity down, you'd be surprised how much it can help. Once you get better you can slowly notch it up. And in other news, we 360 gold subscribers get the exclusive Crysis 2 Demo on the 25th Probably going to get this on PC when it comes out though.
I know, finally we get some good demos. The last like 4 were all terrible Kinect demos. I need another shooter to come out soon, I'm almost done playing Black Ops. Anyone wanna talk some Super Meat Boy? Got it a few days ago and it is great. Just finished the Salt world, Grade A on every level. It's getting pretty hard though. Still, great game. Anyone interested in Adventure/Puzzle games should check out Stacking, it comes out on Feb 8th I think and it is the next Double Fine XBLA game. It looks really great and unique. One last thing, about Castle Crashers. It is probably my favorite XBLA game and I personally find it a ton of fun. When I played it though I would always play with 3 of my friends, and we always had a blast. For only 15 bucks, we had more fun than a 60 dollar retail game could provide, and we probably had a day or two of gametime by the end. I can see where you are coming from, but I really think CC is no mere flash game.
What stops it being a flash game? You can complete the entire story mashing the same combo over and over, each playthrough is the same regardless of which character you're using, there's a slight difference in look between the abilities of each one has but the effect is largely the same... the majority of the game consists of walking from left to right pressing the attack button. Sounds a lot like a mere flash game. ...aside from the fact you can be bored with three friends while you play.
I beat castle crashers twice and then it lost its novelty. Midian does have a point, it is a mere flash game...with a cool art style. Online mode is terrible, no one wants to play the game, they just want to show off their 256 characters and all their pets and weapons. When they're done showing off they leave.
I'll definitely have to pick up Stacking when its out. I hope they port it to idevices. I could definitely see it working.
