And with this, the war ends! PS Move and Kinect didn't really have enough effort from Sony or Microsoft, Sony put forth some more effort than Microsoft trying to get some games but so far haven't done all that well. I'll give them both a year and we shall see how they're doing then.
Yeah the Wii does have better games at the moment, it's just the Move technology that's better. It has 1:1 movement which makes it incredibly accurate in comparison, plus body detection and a load of other clever stuff such as an accelerometer, magnometer (senses the Earth's gravity so it always knows which way up it's being held) and so on. Plus it addresses one of the Wii's major flaws, and one Nintendo should really have considered. With the Wii, the controller is the camera and detects the sensor bar, so if you point it away from the sensor you lose the connection. With the Move, the camera is the PS Eye, and detects the controller regardless of where it's being pointed, aim it sideways and that funny-looking pink ball is still easily spotted by the camera. Hide the controller behind your back and suddenly the sensors all kick in to tell the PS3 where it is and how it's moving, so the connection is never lost. Unless of course you move all the way out of view of the camera, but the view is pretty wide. You're definitely right about the games though, I'm just hoping Sony get some real support behind the Move because it's a fun gadget and it'd suck to see it die.
Well apart from Youtube commenters, most say PS3 is better. Unless the only games they play are CoD, Gears of War, Fable and regard every other game as 'gay'. Yes, those are the narrow-minded people I hang out with...
I really don't see how Kinect is even remotely less original than move but ok. also, 20 minutes of Kinect at a Best Buy is not enough. I personally have found my Kinect becoming more and more responsive every time I turn it on. It seems to be 'learning' how I do things and the layout of the room to produce better performance. The truth of it is they are two different devices aimed at different people and designed for different games. It's like fighting over whether a car or a unicycle is better; they both have wheels but they do different things.
How 'bout no. Kinect is just as unoriginal as Move. I don't know how 'learning' tech could be built in if different people are using it, it's illogical. Aimed at different people? They're mostly aimed at casual gamers, but Move focuses on the hardcore a bit more than Kinect. Plus, bad analogy
Can we go back to discussing games instead of this stupid fanboy argument? I swear, whenever Donovan and Midian come into this thread...
If anyone is a fanboy it's this defensive, insecure person I'm quoting right now. I own a 360, PS3 and Wii, and I like to discuss them as gaming is one of my hobbies. I don't hate any one console in particular but I'm not afraid to name pros and cons and have a preference. Where is your problem? Kubba asked a question and I answered it fairly. Just because it happens that I prefer Move doesn't mean you have to pee yourself. I didn't consider this an argument at all, it was merely a conversation. If you think it's an argument it's only because you don't like what you're reading, try just getting over it or just opening up your mind instead.
I don't see what's fanboy about this-even Donovan has weighed the pros and cons of each system without bias. This is what an internet forum about-it's not an argument, it's a discussion. Very informative as well, I never knew the Move is more accurate than the Wii Opinions will be opinions-it will be hard to convicne me that Move>Kinect, not matter what you say-but a person who states their opinion in a fair way does not deserve to be called a fanboy On a side note, what's wrong with being a fanboy? It's portrayed as being the most horrible thing ever, but I will gladly admit to being a Halo fanboy, an XBox fanboy, a Half Life fanboy, and a Fallout fanboy. And every single person on this site is an iOS fanboy. And there's nothing wrong with that, as long as you are able to look at things in a fair way, which everyone (so far) has
How is the Kinect unoriginal? It' a motion sensor, and it recognizes your voice. I've never seen anything like that.
Can we get back on topic? After all, this is the "Xbox 360" thread, not the "I think this motion controller is better than that one" thread. Maybe someone should start a thread just for that.
I don't understand why ppl are comparing kinect and move anyway they are too different things . Move is just a glorified Wii controller that suffers from a lot of lag on most games . Where as Kinect tracks your whole body and voice totally different . So there is no comparison as too which is better as they are too different things and no I'm not a fanboy I have both and a Wii .
ok so i've decided i'm getting an xbox and kinect. i'm gona get fifa 11, black ops, and kinect adventures. on my bday next month i'll get madden 11 and kinect sports. do you guys recoomend anything after that? and i suspect that most of my time will be spent on black ops. what kind of a strategy would you recommend for this game. remeber, i have never played a cod game before or any console fps, so any tips would be appreciated. Should i do the campaign first and then multiplayer? which perks and weapons should i use? which modes are fun?
^^ This was what I meant. Whoa, that almost seemed defensive and insecure in itself. I think you're overreacting to my reasonable request that we get back on topic. Then how about instead of coming in here and "weighing the pros and cons" we talk about the Xbox 360? You know, what this thread was meant for? You want to talk about pros and cons, make a pros and cons thread. This isn't the place. Listen, I have nothing against you Midian, but try to realize the purpose of this thread before you hit the "post" button.
