    Doing nothing of importance.
    Somewhere
Haha yeah man, sick stuff. Fallout 3 GOTY for 15 bucks is a great deal, and there's nothing TOO major added to NV that's not in 3 aside from aiming down the sight (which is actually really helpful).

Of all of those games, though, I think I'm having the best time playing New Vegas. I gotta give the other ones more playtime but every time I try to play lost odyssey I get killed by the boss and I can't play brotherhood until I beat AC2.

Ya NV tempted me, but I was saving 45 bucks, and Fallout 3 is considered one of the greatest games in history, so I just went with it

I know what you're feeling! So many games to play, only one week of break from school! It's a great conundrum to have though :D.
You have some great hours of gameplay in front of you-Fallout, AC2 and ACB-they'll probably give you over 200 hours of gameplay in total. Have fun :)

Black Ops sucks buddy. Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer is much much better sadly, unless zombies are a requirement for you, get Modern Warfare 1 or 2. Heck, why not just get Bad Company 2.

Out of the games I have played so far, Kinect Sports is definitely the one to get. It is heaps better than Wii Sports and is my favourite. Review sites are raving about Dance Central being really good, but I'm not into dancing games. If you are it may be your thing.

Quite a lot of 3rd party titles have been getting bad reviews so probably hold off until bigger releases come in 2011. For now I recommend Kinect Sports and if you need to get some training in, either Your Shape or the more expensive EA Sports Active 2.0.

    Hope that helps you out!

Child of Eden comes out in 2011. I don't really know what the game is about though...can you explain it to me?
There's also a host of horror shooters coming out next year

I've heard of it, but I'm not entirely sure what it's about. It's meant to be a more hardcore title so perhaps it's some sort of action RPG. I suggest you check out some info on IGN or Gamespot.

I also recommend checking out Forza 4, that should be another great 2011 title.

It's hard to desribe, but it's not an action RPG. I think it's like a top-down shooter.

It's looking more like Borderlands than Fallout. Maybe a mix of the 2 I guess.

MW2 has a horribly broken multiplayer. This is how you do good,

    1. Get an LMG or Sniper
    2. Find a spot to sit
    3. Wait

At least Black Ops multiplayer discourages camping more than MW2, it's harder to stay camping for as long as you can in MW2. I do agree that there are better multiplayers than in COD games, BFBC2 has a much better multiplayer IMO.

I got a Kinect today, and the technology is completely outstanding.

I can't wait until we get some more big name games on that thing, it's gonna rock!

    yes
    Edited :D

It is also much harder to spawncamp in BO, since there are less places to put Tactical Insertions, and they are much more noticeable, and Treyarch did a better jobs with spawns IMHO. Grenade launchers, grenades, and killstreaks have also been nerfed, making it much more fair and fun than MW2. But I would highly recommend borrowing it from a friend for the SP, to just see DC.
Watch this trailer to see what I mean.

Black Ops also has great fast-paced (but not cheap) maps excluding a couple of big maps.

One question about Kinect for those who know:

It is working fine, but sometimes it is hard to select buttons because my hand goes on it then the button jumps around on it's own free will. I have the Kinect at about hip height, should I invest in a TV mount to put it on top of the TV (Which would then make it above my head)? If so what TV Mount do you suggest getting?

EDIT: Also on a side note, does this controller "hailed by gamers and developers alike as one of the best PS3 controllers ever developed" look strangely familiar to the 360 controller? That would explain why it is the best PS3 controlller

Just an interesting tidbit here... I remember reading on Engadget that the 360 only utilizes half the power of the Kinect (something like 320x240 instead of 640x480 in terms of the cameras' aspect ratios) because they were afraid that the full power would utilize too much memory or something, but they're planning on streamlining it soon in a future Live update to get it to run at full capacity. The 640x480 aspect ratio would allow the Kinect to detect individual fingers.

    Two words: Minority Report.

I read somewhere, but can't track down the link to it, that had the same report. They contacted Microsoft for confirmation and they said no plans had been made to update Kinect soon to utilise the 640x480 ratio.

Perhaps the camera needs more processing power like originally designed to work well or they will release it in 6-9 months time when sales drop to spark interest again, perhaps aiming the marketing at more hardcore gamers in the second push.

It was because USB 2 isn't powerful enough to transfer the data at a fast enough rate for the full 640x480 (keeping in mind that the data transferred includes depth sensing, blah blah etc.)

I read that an onboard processor would solve this, but that it was too expensive to implement.

Nope, no co-op or vs split-screen of any kind that I'm aware of.
