Gamestop has Fallout: New Vegas for $40 on Black Friday. Should I bite? Never played a Fallout game before.
N. Here's a nice combo for $50 that should keep you entertained for about a year: Bioshock (the original)-$15 The Orange Box-$15 (easily the best value in gaming history) Fallout 3-$20 For less than the price of one full game, you are getting some of the best games in history. Otherwise, go with AC:B and call it a day
I would definitely take that deal. Those games have so much awesome gameplay you wont be looking for another game for ages.
I'll agree with that, although New Vegas for $40 is a pretty awesome deal as well. Btw, anyone down for some Black Ops Zombies later tonight? I got my Xbox back on Friday and have literally played nothing other than Black Ops since. Add Underoath709 and invite me to a party/game once I'm online if you do.
I'd disagree with this. New Vegas is Fallout 3 with a loyalty system and hardcore mode. Fallout 3 may not be as good, but ti gets the job done, and for 1/2 the price, that's what I would go for
And again, you make a point. Fallout 3 was my favorite game for a long time, and if you haven't played it yet, make it a priority now. But still, a brand new game for $40? That's a good price .
Agreed. I have such conundrums this fall with the bonanza of new games being released. I got Halo Reach, but I still desperately want AC:B and Fallout NV. Cd Black Ops looks good, but I have BFBC2, which I find miles better. And then in early 2011, we get GoW3, Portal 2, Rage....so many good games in so little time, and so little money!!
Haha, yeah, the first three games on my Christmas list are New Vegas, Brotherhood and Reach in that order, although I'll throw Lost Odyssey on there too since I loved that game. And conundrums and bonanza in the same sentence? Epic win.
Depends on your budget. If you have plenty of money to spend, splurge a little and get New Vegas. If you have bang for your buck though, get Fallout 3 and the Orange Box. It really depends; both deals are the same price.
I've got Orange Box. Really the only game that blew me out of my seat was Portal. Never really got what makes Half-Life 2 so special (just not my thing I guess), and Team Fortress 2 on consoles is dead. I guess what I'm asking is: Do the improvements made in New Vegas make it worth the extra cash? Or I could just screw it all and get the Fallout 3 GOTY edition.
Rage is later that year. But you'd better feel sorry for PS3 owners. Killzone 3, Resistance 3, Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One, inFamous 2, Motorstorm Apocalypse, and LittleBigPlanet 2. And that's only the exclusives Plus if you count Mass Effect 2.
Woah, woah, hold it. I'm not here to troll, I'm just here to discuss games. So if the 360-fanboys wanna troll me on outta here go ahead. But I wouldn't go out on a limb and call me a troll. Basically, New Vegas is Fallout 3 with some slight improvements (ie: A faction system, companion wheel, hardcore mode, and a couple of other things). But Fallout 3 DLC is about broken anyway, I'd just get the normal version, or New Vegas. Depends, do you like historical or more western?
It sucks that they're postponing it, but now they have the opportunity to run a public beta and test out the dedicated servers, which is great. I'm all for PS3 exclusives, but coming in here to plug the latest Sony title every chance you get isn't "discussing games." And they not wanting to hear about PS3 titles in a 360 thread certainly isn't to be considered trolling on their part.
