I'm making out to be bad because of all the RC car spam. Especially since they can go up stairs and things of that nature. And here is why I'm not getting Black Ops Joystiq Review IGN Review Kotaku Review Also, does BO come with offline multiplayer, if it does I'm right on the edge of breaking and buying it. Edit: Actually, who am I kidding, CoD always has offline multiplayer.
Oh noes, not floating apples! I think it has offline multiplayer, it also has a practise mode with bots now (not sure if that can be used with multiplayer though) I came very close to cracking and getting it today, my local game store had an offer on, Black Ops for £25 when bought with any other chart title. If I hadn't already bought FO:NV, I'd have got it.
To the Australian's out there: Are any of you planning on getting Australian Rules Football when it's now scheduled for release in 2011? At this stage I'm extremely skeptical that it won't be a huge failure, especially with no current in game footage. For a first attempt there are bound to be flaws, but on the other hand they will need support if we want annual improvements.
"You can't stop Tricky Dick!" Btw, I just got an email last night that they had shipped my Xbox back to me, so it'll only be a few days before I get it back, I assume. I'm up for some Black Ops when it arrives.
W00T!! Just got a bunch of games at really low prices off of some microsoft promotional thingy. Halo Reach: $30 Fable 3: $30 Alan Wake: $25 Mass Effect: $10 Headset + keypad: $20 This is gonna last me a loooong time Any recommendations on what to play first? Second?? Third???
1. Halo. It's a requirement or something. 2. Mass Effect. Amazing game. 3. Go buy Mass Effect 2. Proceed to play and play and play. 4. Alan Wake. Another incredible game that was criminally looked over. 4. Fable III... I guess. Haven't played that one yet.
Thanks for the recommendations! Don't have any money to buy Mass Effect 2, though. I'll see if I can borrow it off someone. I'll save Fable 3 for last. I was never really interested in that game, but the brand name is pretty big so I had to get it (dirt cheap and because that was the only game left on Microsoft's online store thing.)
So I finally played Black Ops on multiplayer, and can now say that it's a million times better than MW2's multiplayer, and a helluva lot more entertaining. I especially love the fact the blood on your screen no longer blinds you completely from one pistol shot. The graphics however, seem worse. Same with the sound effects. That is all.
Yeah, the multiplayer is definitely the best so far, but it still felt pretty cheap at times. Maybe my friend and I were just playing terribly yesterday, but it almost felt like we couldn't get any kills at all. We did fine in Combat Training, but then got wrecked online. I also noticed that the game didn't look as good as MW2 did graphically, but it seeks to be running more smoothly, which I much prefer. I don't see what you mean about the wound being worse, though. I honestly thought the gunshot sounds were much better, and didn't notice much difference from anything else.
