Why the hell would they remove that. Now sniping is straight up camping. CoD4 and WaW did good jobs, I'd say. The M16 and Mp40 were the main OP things, respectively.
Because quick scoping was pretty unbalanced, being able to walk around with what is effectively a 'golden gun' (1 shot 1 kill) is pretty unfair.
The nuke was stupid. Not just because I never got it, but because it was stupid. lol Then again I am so terrible at FPS games that my K/D Ratio was always awful, and I never got Killstreaks passed 5. lol
Really? It required a fair bit of practice to get used to. I feel as though it's not the technique that's overpowered, rather the people who used it are good. Now sniping is hiding behind a box watching some choke point.
Sure, it took a bit of practise, but it was more of an exploit than an technique. How is having a short ranged weapon that kills in 1 shot not overpowered? Yes, sniping is now, shockingly, going to be more like sniping. If someone does ambush at close range, you'll have to suffer the horrible hassel of switching to your secondary weapon.
If you miss the shot, you die. Sounds like a fair tradeoff. Switching to your secondary gun when someone ambushes you at close range means death. While your guys slowly takes out some shitty pistol, he'll probably be bagging your corpse. The only thing you can do is try sprinting up to him and knifing, or just getting lucky with a no scope. I really don't think I'll be picking up a sniper in black ops if all you do is hide in a bush.
Well, there are RC Rocket things you control. Those will go up stairs and such. The RC Cars can easily get you from behind too. Which is realistic war sniping. You move after every shot so people can't get revenge. +1

Idc much for realistic war sniping unless you're actually sneaking around, or something. Ever consider what might happen while you're moving around? Maybe it's not the weapon that's overpowered, but rather your lack of skill? Maybe nothing is overpowered and we're all just a bunch of babies who don't want to figure out ways to beat these weapons, so we continue doing the same thing that gets us killed and then weep about it on online forums (this includes me).
