SHOOOOOOOOOOOPTOOOOOOOOOOO! .net EDIT: Adding this to both the PS3 and 360 threads 'cause I feel it's important. Vanquish is an excellent game, read for details on length: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-vanquish-blog-entry
Love the homage to Canabalt in that one level in Meat Boy. Did I mention I bought it? It's that good.
I have a serious issue people. My parents have a strict "one game a month" rule for me. November is absolutely filled to the brim with awesome games. I've painfully narrowed it down to two games, with the rest having to wait until Christmas. So, Call of Duty: Black Ops or Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood? I loved MW2 (before it got all buggy and I got BC2) and I equally loved AC2 (before I finished the main story and there was nothing left to do). There can only be one. Which is it?
I'd go for Brotherhood mate. You get a 20 hour campaign, a huge Multiplayer mode with leveling up and customization. There will no doubt be DLC. What do you think?
You never know, although I doubt it. And to be honest, Modern Warfare 2's campaign actually wasn't all that bad. Sure, the storyline was awful, but the missions themselves were insane. I think they made a ton of sick missions, then realized "Oh crap, we have to have some sort of storyline to tie this all together!". Playing mission by mission, though, is a pretty sick experience.
They are great missions, but you'll be dreaming if you think you'd ever get more than 6 hours from a game that is based predominantly around MP.
Yeah, you definitely make a point there. Then again, that multiplayer experience alone is more than worth the price of entry for me; the singleplayer is more or less a bonus at this point.
Same here. And like 80 percent of the people I know just jump straight into MP. I loved the single player, it was just like an action movie, and it had one of the coolest sequences in any fps ever (that running part). But yeah, it's primarily an MP game.
Exactly mate, I agree. Just thought that if Pyro is looking for a very well rounded 1 purchase... I'd go with something more weighted!
Yeah, but I don't know of any must-haves coming out in December... I'd suggest getting COD:Black Ops on day one since EVERYONE's gonna be playing that, then pick up Assassin's Creed in December. Problem solved.
I'm a bit late to the discussion, but why narrow it down to two games which are likely to be very similar to games you already own? Sure they're probably worth buying, but when you look at them, Black Ops is gonna be like CoD and AC is gonna be like... AC. Was there not anything a bit more new and exciting you wanted?
Just got Medal of honor, its pretty mediocre. Definitely improved since the beta and I actually have some decent fun with it now, but I end up getting bored really easily, which is something that took months with COD. I'd give it a 6 outta 10. Havent tried single player yet.
