A great topic for developers mysteriously wasn't discussed a great deal here on the forum. It really is a very important topic to analyse.

The basic idea is a division of the App store in to two distinctive stores.

Store A (Kitsch and Gimmick) and Store B ( Polished and Tailored)

This article explains it extremely well.

Read the article carefully if you haven't. It is very well written!

I am half way through my first app, that fits the wrong side for most that post here. " Store A"

I feel like I am cheating my own principles, but adding an app that is based on impulse buying, should be a new worthwhile experience for me.

The app is still based on a really nice simple game that I invented a long time ago, but what makes it pure kitsch is the presentation.

I know a lot of developers are complaining about low sales numbers, just remember that maybe an app specifically built for " Store A " just might be the answer for new sales.

Anyone else consider building for the wrong side of the app store?
