Aaand it's not universal. I bought it on my iPod. Nope, not buying an iPod again, not owning an iPhone at any point in the near future (if ever), not jailbreaking, can't afford to rebuy the game at this point in time (and of course I shouldn't have to). I really don't have the words to describe how furious I am right now. God damn it. Oh welp. Everyone else enjoy it!
Have you tried reporting and getting a refund and buying the ipad version instead? That, or you can install on an ipad and play at 2x mode
No, no you can't. That's the thing with TWEWY. The iPhone version will not run on iPad. I don't remember how this was done back in the day, but yeah...if you want to play on iPad, I'm afraid you have to buy the iPad version.
^^^ One of my bitter points with SE (not with the game). The pocket version will not show in the iPad store. Well played Enix, well played.
I could have sworn I had it on the iPad, though! As in, downloaded and installed! But maybe I'm just remembering it breaking on the iPod, I had that upgraded to iOS 8 before I got rid of it. But yeah, it's especially infuriating because I can run Chaos Rings 1 & 2 in 2x mode just fine, so it's not like all Squenix stuff is limited. Still. Nothing I can do, sadly. I will be able to rebuy it at some point (this'll be the fourth time considering I owned it twice on DS - import and English) but... yeah.
More sales equals longer support? I might end up getting both now that I know it'll work for a while longer.
Oh my... We really need a universal version for this or buy it twice. I believe that's normal, and you can switch to viewing iphone titles. Unless SE did something unique here as well like in how the SD version doesnt work on the ipad.
SE did something (menacingly) unique here... unfortunately. Switching to iPhone doesn't help. If the iPad version goes down to $10 again I may double dip but until then I'm grounded to the tiny screen. Yet another reason for me to get a 6+.
Yep, they actively locked it out. If you search for it under iPhone titles on an iPad, it won't show up. iTunes knows it's set as not compatible, too, I downloaded it to my PC and tried that way. No joy. Chaos Rings 1 and 2 (not sure about Omega, I didn't buy that on iOS) work fine in 2x, Drakerider installs (though it's still broken), but not TWEWY.
