Are there any benefits to mastering pins, other than the chance for them to evolve into a better pin? Also I have a ton of pins of the same type, what's the best way to handle them?
Lvling up will slightly increase the stats of the pins. Well, for now anybody can help me how to add friends and by which ways I can earn mingle exp?
You can sell the extra pins for yen, which becomes important later on, since fewer yen pins drop further on in the game. I'd recommend you save at least two of the duplicate pins, and put them in separate decks. You can change between 4 decks on the Pins menu. Then, before you shutdown/mingle, you switch to those respective decks, so those pins earn mingle/shutdown PP exclusively. This increases their chances to evolve along those types of PP. Anyone tried to mingle with another Bluetooth device? My laptop is a bit wonky when it comes to Bluetooth, so I wasn't able to test that effectively. I apologize if this was already tried before; it's hard to remember 81 pages of posts ^_^b
Thanks for your answer. Once a pin is mastered and it doesn't evolve, it no longer has a chance to evolve is it?
Yes, once a pin is mastered, it can no longer evolve. To evolve to a desired pin, you need to get a new lvl 1 pin.
Cloud saving? I'm getting a new phone and I was wondering if this game offers cloud game save support? I don't want to lose my entire game like I did with FF 3...
it doesn't have icloud support but you can always use a program like iexplorer or diskaid if you are using windows diskaid also is for osx i think and looking for the game and do a backup of the documents folder where the save normaly is store at least in the 3 chaos rings the save is there and then you only paste the save in the new device. No jailbreak needed to do this
Without revealing too much, is the game endless? I'm currently on day 3-4 with Joshua and there's simply so many things to buy, level up and do that I'm afraid I will complete the game before finishing them. I only just realised there's specific types of evolution methods for different pins, either by mingle, shutdown or battle. The game never tells us this! (or it's possible I've missed it)
Once the game is over you get the ability to move between chapters while maintaining your items so technically you could play forever leveling up or evolving pins, fight side bosses, buy clothes, play tin pin slammers... You get the idea I think the specifics on the different pp is in a quest book in one of the shops early on
Also in the DS version after complete the game you get in the menu like some sort of side missions to reveal more secrets about the story i guess it should be here to
Yeah the different type of pp thing is both very cool and very annoying at the same time. I would of far preferred it if it would tell you which type you need, it's pretty frustrating to level a pin up 7 levels for it not to evolve because you actually need mingle or shutdown pp instead for that pin (also I really hope they change mingle soon so we can actually use it, online tin pin slammer would be good too!)
On the other hand, some people find it pretty frustrating when a game tells them every last secret right from the start and leaves them nothing to find out for themselves. You don't need to collect every single pin and you can make a good argument that the game doesn't have an obligation to tell you how. (I beat the DS game without ever realising there were different types of PP, and I didn't feel like I'd missed out at all.) Just saying. There's always GameFAQs, surely?
The TWEWY Wikia has a page on pin evolutions. That's what I've been using. http://twewy.wikia.com/wiki/Pin_Evolution_Table You need to have both the Big Bang and Big Crunch pins to use it. Honestly, Nexus Ray pins aren't worth the trouble unless you have that 999 power pin.
You need to make sure that the majority of your PP are from shutdown in order for those pins to evolve. The thing I like to do is to keep my shutdown PP pins in a separate deck from the pins I use in battle. Before I quit the game, I switch to my shutdown deck so that those pins get PP. As for mingle PP, I think you need to have multiple devices with TWEWY. I don't know anyone else who owns this game though so I'm not sure about the details.
Yup. There is a (rather small and feeble) campaign to e-mail Square (who apparently respond to e-mails regarding TWEWY, amazingly enough) and ask for full GC/online support for TWEWY, with mingle PP from online friends, Tin Pin Slammer online play, and even the friend shops from the DS original. While I too believe this struggle probably futile, I don't find the idea of Square adding this entirely preposterous and impossible. Had I not seen the upgrades they brought to FFT along the way (upgraded graphics, skip cut scenes, etc), after the release, I might, but now, I actually believe they occasionally listen to some kind of profit-motivated reason
Having never played the DS version, and now being totally hooked on this, I'm bummed about the mingle. I had to check the evolution chart because i feel i want to get and do everything this game has to offer, but i cant. For this game to not be universal, the chances of me ever connecting with another device is exactly zero. I wish the mingle was integrated online or they just edit the evolution chart so pins could evolve with shutdown and battle only. It's really the games only, but big, flaw.
