Ummm, you can't play the iPhone version on iPad, 50 pages in this thread are about this and the lack of iPod touch support
You can't run the iPhone version on your iPad. Square broke Apple dev rules to make the iPhone version not tablet compatible at all. And that's what people are bitching about, not that it's not Universal. And yes, it's a distinctly iOS concern because it's a distinctly iOS feature of having phone apps all be compatible with tablets. The amount of "it doesn't bother me and therefore you guys suck" on this thread is disappointing.
What!?! That's unreal ... and really sneaky on Square's part. I mean, I wouldn't mind paying the price for the iPhone version and taking the trade off that it's not universal so would run in x2 mode on my iPad, but I'm not buying two versions of the same game. That's up there with Cave and their snuck out HD release of DoDonPachi Resurrection after the non-HD had made them plenty of money for months first.
See when Developers do this kind of stuff, it really does make sense why some people choose to jailbreak for "other" reasons. People will ALWAYS pay for good content, but they won't pay twice for the same content just to have it on two different devices.
Has anyone reported Square Enix to Apple for breaking their rules? We as consumers need to help cut this out if not other companies will be trying this in the future.
Any particular compelling reason YOU will want to have a full featured RPG them on 2 devices? I understand that this is a legitimate reason to feel aggrieved...but at the same time I am also genuinely curious about your reasons. I don't feel the need to get the same games on both xbox and ps3...or even purchase bastion again for the ipad after playing it on the PC. I understand that for small multiplayer games (with cloud saves especially) being universal is rather important... but what about this game ?
1. I'm used to universal apps, and having the same game on both my iPhone and iPad is just something I'm accustomed to. 2. I travel a lot during the working week, do a lot of commuting via train, and like to play a game on my iPhone while on the go and then pick up where I left off (not always exactly the same place mind, unless both versions can share an iCloud save)when I get home on my iPad. I don't always take my iPad with me, so it would be beneficial to have an app that works on both, like most developers provide. I would buy the iPhone version if it allowed x2 scaling on the iPad, but I'll hold off until this blows over and Square, hopefully get their bums felt by Apple for breaking the App Store rules.
Thanks for sharing.. hopefully an update/fix comes about soon and you get to play it. hmm.. are there any benefits (besides pp) in fighting boss battles at different difficulties? They will always provide the boss exclusive pins after each battle after all..irregardless of the difficulty level. Just swapped back to normal difficulty on the Spoiler 5th day of the 3rd part of the game after some frustrating attempts..hopefully I am not missing out on any rare pins. Edit: How does the twitter thing work ?
Apple generally keeps the in contract prices in line with the others on release. Off contract will be expensive. Once the new iPhone is released the iPhone 4s prices will drop significantly as well
Nope. Didn't work. Over 50+ pages here are just people debating about "OMG, can my iPod work?" That stupid post itself already filled up roughly 30 pages+. No one here seem to be very interested in the gameplay whereas there's already another thread in this forum that is created specially for people who are seeking advice on device compatibility. If people only do a little bit of research. And yes, apart from iPhone4/4S and iPad, the game won't work. So suck it up. And 18USD is damn reasonable for such a game and if you are still complaining about the price, suck it up too. Back to the question. Mingle does not work over GameCenter/WiFi. It requires Bluetooth connection.
Agreed. Can we get back on topic guys? this game has too much to offer than to quibble about this. So you need to have another device that runs TWEWY with bluetootth on to mingle? Damn that's a pain :| From what I know, the DS version doesn't need another device playing TWEWY but just any other form of wireless connections to get what they call Civvies for 20 mingle PP.
They crippled Mingle a lot. The fun thing is, if the app was universal then people with two devices could harvest MPP easily
Point to note, for most of us solo players, without the ability to mingle thus having deprivation to mingle PP, we won't be able to get a specific pin to gain access to the game's optional boss. The superboss of TWEWY. Kinda like playing final fantasy with the inability to fight Omega Weapon (optional boss that drops uber good loot.)
Yea...can't evolve velocity attack, meteor magnet and other pins ( It's called SOLO remix for a reason!! Ok bad joke but damn what a waste. Oh iEdGamer, didn't u feedback SE about this already?
Yea I did via Facebook and Twitter. Don't know how else to contact them. Brian replied my first twit but when I brought up the problem of Mingle PP, I haven't received any news/reply from him. I even asked about an update to patch stuffs up. No reply too. Guess now just gotta wait. The black planet pins can wait I guess. I've got 2/6 of the blackplanet pins at the moment.
