Don't see why square didn't make a graphically inferior/SD version for the iPod if RAM is the problem. (galaxy on fire 2 does something like this) If the DS can run this iPod touch 4g should be able to honestly.

Does this game trump chaos rings 2 btw for anyone who's played both.

    So... What have people decided?

How bad is this on the new ipad? Is it best to buy the iphone version?

It looks like a 2x version of any retina game. Good, not great.

The blur is really noticeable :/

    Issues with screen size

Are you running into any issues with the iphone screen size for combat etc... or are you glad you got the iphone version?

Completed the game. Next objective to obtain Gatito black planet pins. This game is way too deep.

Anyone with LINE, pm me public ID so I can add you to group chat.

Is this compatible with iPod Touch at all? I'm surprised 4th Gen touch is not listed as compatible. o_O What does this require then, 5th gen that doesn't exist yet?
Also for anyone who played the original world ends with you, what are the differences? Not worried about the price tag since almost all square enix games cost this much now.

There is no backwards compatibility, unfortunately. People who tried to play the game on those devices crashed repeatedly and often, to the point of not even being able to progress out from the first cutscene. Square Enix decided to avoid a PR nightmare as a result, by locking out anything incompatible.... Which resulted in a smaller, less severe PR nightmare. At least we're not hearing "Since game sucks on iTouch 4G, it sucks period."

It requires iPhone 4 or higher, or iPad 2 or higher. Strangely, Squeenix decided to lock the iPad version and the iPhone version from playing on the other device type.

I've played TWEWY on the DS. The main difference is combat, and the artwork was re-drawn and the sound was re-mastered (read: uncompressed, and with new songs/remixes added). Other differences are that Mingle and Tin Pin Slammer requires Bluetooth. No Game Center multiplayer as a result. That does kinda suck, but there's a caveat: THOSE ARE THE ONLY DIFFERENCES. The parts that suck are so minor, it barely even registers as a blip on my radar.

If you liked Square's other ports to iOS, then this will send an atom bomb through your brain with how awesome this is. If you have a supported device (or a DS and a cartridge of the original), PLAY THIS GAME.

If you can sift through the 50% of tangential topics/disbelief over an iOS port/frustration at compatibility issues, you can get more impressions in this thread.

    No MPP is ridiculous.

Some pins require evolution from "Mingle" pp and it's just ridiculous since iOS port can only Mingle with a bluetooth connection.

And withouth MPP, we can't obtain the pin "Velocity Tackle" which is needed to complete a quest in the "Another Day" chapter. And that quest yields a great item. Sigh.

I'm guessing the iPhone TWEWY has aliens, it's just that the iPhone Bluetooth automatically turns itself off after a while.

Anyone manage to get a reply from Square-Enix regarding Mingle Mode?

Is it possible? Without that pin, we won't be able to get access to fight with Mr. Hanekoma and get the item "My Phones"

Aha, you see, this is why I was asking about what you miss out on without the mingle ability some pages back!! Don't mind if you miss out on something like a hat for your character but not being able to complete quests or gain abilities would do my head in!

Guess not many people here are keen on the gameplay. I've finished the game and now in the new chapter trying to collect rare pins.

It's not just an ordinary hat.

Without the Mingle capability, we won't be able to fight Mr. Hanekoma whose noise form is Panthera Cantus which is the game's Superboss.

See how much you miss out without a proper Mingle system!

Ultimate mode drops Black Jupiter pin (One of the strongest pin in the game)
Normal and Easy mode drops King Arthur pin.

    It makes a HUGE difference.

iEdGamer, your last two posts have pretty big spoilers for the post-game, you really ought to edit them.
