For anybody who remembers an earlier post, square enix said they are reviewing my message sent. (the possibility of it making it to the iPod). I'm also not entirely sure square intention with the non universal crap was to be greedy. I have an iPod touch. If this game was in on my iPod AppStore I would have wasted $18. Maybe they dind'nt intend for it to be non universal. Just speculation.
I recently picked up a copy of the sublime DS original for £26.00. It was so much fun playing through it once again. I have a 3DS XL, and it plays beautifully on the larger screens. That said, due to all the new content, remixes and one-screen combat system, I might just have to pick up the iOS version too. But which one, iPhone or iPad? HELP!!!
I'm in same boat, have iPhone 4 and iPad 3. Hearing that graphics in iPad aren't as good, but that combat on iPhone is a bit harder to select. Any thoughts?
does anyone know the way to exit the game to the main screen to earn shutdown pp? the only way ive been able to get this to work is to kill it from multitasking.
I've been wondering if Mingle PP can be earned by turning Bluetooth on in the System options and leaving it running. Anyone tried that yet? In regards to review scores, I agree that they should be secondary. They barely matter compared to the description of the app and the analysis of the game. In regards to TA's five star system, I see it as a brief judge on whether a game is "worth it", not whether it is perfect or not. So I believe the 5 stars is appropriate In regards to LINE, sounds cool. I think I'll pass on it for now, but thanks for the offer!
I wonder why GC integration did not include this? With a relatively pricey title like this (plus factor in that it's not the 5min per playtime game), the chance of other iOS users within physical reach having the game, too, is lower than usual. I hope they come up with a better trade/mingle/friend system; one that can be done over the net.
It just timeouts after a few minutes with the message that Bluetooth isn't enabled even though I have it on.
So... iphone 4 or ipad (based on playbility and retina) I am very torn about which version to get. Beyond that I am disappointed that I think Square might getting away with a loop whole preventing the iphone version to play on the ipad. If the iphone 4 has true retina display is it better than the ipad version? Does the size of the iphone 4 screen help or hinder the gameplay? I would typically buy this on the ipad immediately since I am thinking the screen is bigger etc... However hearing that this is not retina for the new ipad I am worried it might not be as good as the iphone 4 version with true retina. Please advise! Thoughts on rentina, gameplay, and screen size etc...??

(Rest of this post has to do with differences regarding mingle mode and is a minor thing depending on how you look at it, but I'll be thorough for anyone interested.) For anyone not familiar with this, PP (Pin Points) are the points used to level-up/evolve pins. There's also the thing with PP mixing but I won't go there. Mingle PP is a certain type of PP that you can only get by connecting with other players. This is the way it worked on the DS: http://twewy.wikia.com/wiki/Mingle_Mode http://twewy.wikia.com/wiki/PP#MPP The other types are Battle PP, that you get from normal battles, and Shutdown PP. Shutdown PP is still present in this version. It's a kind of PP you get while you're not playing the game, and it goes for the pins on the deck you had equipped when you stopped. Thing is, the game only clocks your non-playing time if you go back to the main menu. I can't see any way in-game to "go back to title", so you have to kill the app on the multitask bar if you're done playing for a while and want to get SDPP. Anyway, both BPP and SDPP work the same on iOS. Mingle PP was one of the criticisms some players had with the original game due to how annoying it was to obtain. I was testing mingle in this version and it seems to be even more impossible to get Mingle PP now. There doesn't seem to be any way to get "alien" connections (which were random bonuses and connections to any wireless device, not necessarily a DS) in order to acquire MPP like you could in the DS version, and the wireless modes where you trade Friend Cards and play Tin Pin Slammer with other people actually require you to be physically close to someone with an iPhone or iPad with a copy of the game and bluetooth turned on. This is not ideal because some pin evolutions are only attainable with Mingle PP (in this version too, as mentioned in the help section of the mingle menu). What this all means is that this makes it virtually impossible for some people to go after all the 304 pins you can get. Assuming they didn't change the pin chart, these are the pins you can only get by using MPP (I pulled this list quickly so if anyone sees something wrong, tell me): Pin 004 - Blizzard Cool pin 015 - Beauty Launcher Pin 019 - Sparkle Beam Pin 041 - Meteor Hook Pin 042 - Meteor Spike Pin 051 - Rapier Glance Pin 089 - Mikazuki Pin 115 - Wassup Voltage Pin 120 - Vacu Squeeze Pin 123 - Gimme Dat Hippo Pin 140 - Velocity Tackle Pin 143 - Go 2 Heaven Pin 153 - One Grain, Infinite Promise Pin 161 - June Hearth, January Fan So yeah, only 14 out of 304. Skills-wise some of them are unique and some have powers that are similar to other pins. There are more pins you can get by MPP evolution, but those can also be acquired by other means like drops, shops and normal evolutions. In the end this only affects completionists who want all pins but won't be able to find someone in real life with a copy of the game on iOS. Ironically, this time it will be easier for me because I have a close friend who bought the game. I'm still disappointed in this implementation because there's no reason they couldn't make it possible to play Tin Pin matches online or find people online to trade Friends Cards with by using the GC friends list or something in that vein. Best case scenario they'll change how this works with an update and tweak it to work online, at least with the Tin Pin Slammer matches. Probably not happening. tl;dr: - Battle PP: play the game normally. - Shutdown PP: requires you to go back to the main menu like in the DS version. With the DS you just had to turn off the game but on iOS terms this means you have to kill the app as there's no "quit game" option. - Mingle PP: sucks even more now. You can only get it by knowing someone in real life who has the game on iOS.
Ah, ye of little faith... I am usually similarly cynical when it comes to drastic but well-needed iOS fixes from the AAA companies, but Square has actually shown themselves to care quite a lot for their iOS releases, as evident in their many nice fixes and graphics upgrades for FFT. Still not saying it will happen, doubt it will, but I think there is at least a chance. It is a mystery to me why they did not online/GC-enable Friend Cards, Tin Pin Slammer and Mingle PP (and threw in the player shops) from the outset. That ought to be one of the first things that pops into mind when discussing an iOS port: "Yeah, constant internet connection, these nice social features we created for a medium that could not quite support them might now actually reach their full potential" Well, judging from picohero's post, Square might actually listen to feedback. Pipe dream or not, perhaps we should carry out a small-scale e-mail feedback campaign were we kindly ask them to put all that bluetooth-crippled social stuff online.
You can try this site here: http://www.buyportablegames.com/searchnds.php?types=nds&keywords=the+world+ends+with+you&product_id=&genre=&dialogue=&Search=Search It's where I put in an order. Hi everyone, I am stuck át the Boss fight at the concert stage (day 3). The DS method doesnt work, there are no bats, the lights won't turn on no matter how long I survive and the noise is invulnerable in the dark. Could someone pls help me?
Use your partner to hit the boss when there is no light and she will fly up when she does the uppercut attack. Rinse and repeat.
Thank you, Justin. I am npt sure what you mean when you say 'uppercut attack', I have only got one pin for my partner, and her attack won't do anything to hurt the boss either...
You have to bash the boss a bit with Shiki to activate her combo, at final hit of her combo she does the uppercut which launches her onto the upper area where you have to hit the smaller bats blocking the light.
