The ram thing kinda scares me. Guess I'll have to wait till same brave (or idiotic) soul comes along to try it out.
It makes sense if your ios device is not compatible and got a DS go for the DS version if you're planning to upgrade your device anytime soon you could wait
I haven't seen anything new yet, but I'm still fairly early into the game. The "extra hilarious chapter" is called Another Day, and that was also in the original DS version. In the original DS version, you used one hand to control your partner on the top screen with the d-pad and your other hand to control Neku on the touch screen. As a result, the game felt a lot more fast-paced and precise than this new version. There was an option to let the AI control your partner though if you become overwhelmed by the chaotic gameplay. I'd imagine some of the later two-screen boss battles would have to be changed too, but again, I'm not too far into the game yet. Besides that and the new Twitter integration, I think everything stayed the same. Like I said earlier though, I feel that this is a completely competent TWEWY experience, although I can see why fans are having trouble accepting the new simplified (and not as precise) combat system. If you liked what you see in the videos from the original post, I'd say go for it.
That helps me a lot =D Thx! So, in the end, it is up to a clash between battle system and great hd graphics
Damn, and here I was about to grab this game. I wanted to play it, but there's no way I'm buying an iPhone 4 or 4S just to play this game. With this, there also goes my hope of buying Street Fighter X Tekken if that's only gonna be supported by iPhone 4 and 4S as well. I guess I'll just have to stick with Shining Force.
I have heard of "rams" actually tried one out (it was of a game I already owned) but I was like "nope not doing this".
ROMs. RAM is random access memory, which is a physical thing in almost every computing device, including your iPod. ROM stands for read only memory, which can be saved versions of games. Just a little computer lesson to stop you from getting goofed up
I know, just did not want to be ejected from the forums. (gonna have to retread the terms of service).
There was a period in my life when I used to download ROMs for my PC and play them all day every day. That was back in high school. I thought it was the most interesting thing ever to play all my favourite NES classics on my PC and even the ones that I missed. In fact, while I did still purchase games from time to time, I think I was a pirate until last year. I guess I'm sort of a late bloomer when it comes to my conscience awakening regarding games, because I don't enjoy pirating them anymore. Ever since I got my iPod Touch, I've only felt like buying. I did jailbreak my iPod onetime just to play Earthbound on the latest SNES emulator (I forget the name), but it ran amazingly well. Still, I restored my iPod and for some odd reason enjoy it more since it feels right.
Thanks. Honestly this is the first time I've heard of this game and reading reviews across sites doesn't really help. Even the videos make no sense to what I'm up against
I'd advise to to stay away from posts like this, ur gotten a warning before for off-topic posts. Just my $0.02, I'm not a mod or anything
Hey ajstadel I'm a High schooler do I'm set to auto, idiot. But know whats not idiotic? TWEWY great game.
I am downloading it now. I love Square Enix games and I'm more than happy to pay a top price for a COMPLETE game. I bought HORN for $7.49 only to find a crippled weapons/armor upgrade system by IAP. I thought for the price I was getting a full game but got cripple ware which is cheating. I'd much rather pay a top price and get everything. I don't mind paying for a sequal but not crippleware as HORN is and I blasted them in an email for double dipping and crippling the game. Square Enix on the other hand so far charge a top price but you get the real deal and not some watered down game making you rely on IAP to progress. Whether I like this or not I'm buying it to support SE's pricing model. Charge once and be done with it. I like that and more developers should churn out top games with only one price.
For those who are playing on the iPad, how is the game holding up? I can't decide whether I should get this on my new iPad or the 4s.
Anyone read the reviews on iTunes ? people are giving the game one star because it doesn't work on their iPod if they just did a bit of reading or bothered to view the requirements they won't see the iPod on the list >.<
