As another reminder for those of you in the US: If anyone has any hope that the game will run on the iPod Touch 4G, it will not. I just checked from there, and my iPod tossed a "Error could not be completed" message. And Square-Enix probably is not going to update the app to allow for iPod Touch 4G.
The girlfriend's absolutely going to kill me when she finds out I bought this, but here goes nothing! *clicks "Buy"*
Sanuku your in for a massive treat the writers of this story are legends IMO ...it's amazing how many have missed out on NDS games like this....IMO some of my best gaming ever was with a DS...glad your diggin this funky rpg it's a trip...
Damn that sucks! It won't even let me TRY to run it? Sigh... well I better stop visiting this thread so I'll be less sad & jealous :S
Yea!!! (about the buying part, not the killing part) I'll have to dream in your posts for another month until the 5 comes out.
Interestingly enough, it locks iPad out of this phone version as well. ( ipad2) I was going to buy this one, and share with my wife's phone...but., humph.
If it makes any difference, you did save $20, the trouble you'll have to go through to make and maintain 2.2GB space for a single app, and a massive headache from a loved one who may or may not skewer your testicles for spending more than $2.99 on said single app. XD I know in the end it just blows that you 3GS and 4th gen iPod touch guys can't play this. :/ Don't worry buddy, I'm on the same page as you...I'm really looking forward to Wild Blood and I cringe every time I imagine how poorly it will probably run on iPhone 4. *crosses fingers TWEWY actually runs alright* Bring on the iPhone 5!
haha true that. i was already getting a headache thinking about what to delete. I was going with Infinity Blade 2, maybe Chaos Rings 2, maybe FF Tactics. All games I'm still in the middle of playing..
Despite my initial negativity, I'm actually pleasantly surprised by this. The new retina artwork looks nice, and the game definitely still has that TWEWY feel. I have some screenshots if anyone is curious about how the new partner system works.
Unfortunately I will NOT be buying TWENY even though it is one of my favorite games of all time (one that I still play to this day) My initial concern was that they split the game into separate iPhone and iPad versions. Since I like to play for long amounts of time I thought to get it for my iPad. However I'm so used to playing on the go that I wanted it for my iPhone... Tough call. I figured I'd go with the same logic I used for Final Fantasy Tactics and buy the iPhone version. That way I can place it on both devices and figure out the best one for me with only a small concession for using it on the iPad if I go that route. Sadly, Square Enix has decided to restrict the iPhone version to only run on an iPhone which forces users to buy it twice. This is on par with USM creating a bug in Catan which makes it unplayable on iPad. I refuse to support decisions like this, especially when it comes at the cost of 20-40 dollars for a game I already own. :/
isn't the partner pin on the right side? How does that work then? Does this game actually work better if you are a lefty??
You should read VeganTnT's post again. The iPhone binary does not run on iPads, or so has been reported.
