I had the opposite experience. I never bothered taking my iPad out of the house since it didn't have 3G, and since I had better devices at home rarely used the iPad; now with 3G (and later 4G) I take it everywhere.
For anyone playing, how does this work? Do you exchange codes with people, is it bluetoothing info, or is it linked to Game Center? Or are we looking at twitter only integration?
There's a very very very good chance that there is no support for 4th Gen iPod Touches at all. It has to do something with a boatload of music as well as Retina graphics not supported on a device with low memory.
Doesn't seem to be at the moment. I uses my brothers iPod touch 4 to go on the NZ app store, couldn't find the game. Checked with my iPhone 4, it showed up. Hopefully they'll update it.

how are they handling getting those other pin points for levelling your pins? like the "alien" discovering one where your DS would look for other DSes
Day 3: Let`s put it that Way - I still don`t regret getting the Game so I guess it`s save to assume that you won`t see from me a "don`t buy it, it`s not worth it Post". Since the Game sadly doesn`t support Cloud Sharing you should choose the Build that does fit your Gameplay the most. Overall: Do I believe that the Game is making more fun on the smaller iDevice? Definitely. If you do own an iPhone 4/4S go with it. Since Square Enix isn`t known for their Price Drops I take the risk to say that we won`t see a big Price Drop (-50%) before Christmas so it doesn`t matter if you buy it right now or in two Months. Just a Note to all those that do own an DS too: Get yourself the DS Version from Amazon.
I still got my DS lite but sold the game a while ago from what I've seen on Amazon and eBay currently the DS version is more expensive than the iPhone version ( not by much ) so why do you recommend the DS version ? do you think it's still better than the port ?
Could you elaborate a little more please? What's wrong with the iPad version, and how does the solo remix compare to the original DS version?
How's the battery drain? Especially for iphone which battery is quite important :X DS. Pick up the ios one later when it's on sale to see whats different. Let's just say dual screen battle system is quite an unique experience. If you own ds, pick up ds game. If not, this version seems like a solid version even if battle system may not be as unique.
