Cruel question! Those are two of my favourite games - but The World Ends With You is my absolute favourite. However, that's not the main reason why I'd say TWEWY first. Go with TWEWY because it's finite. It has a great look, superb music, excellent touchscreen combat and, most importantly, a fantastic story, with a beginning, middle and end. Play TWEWY to death, soup up all your pins, do all the post-game stuff... ...then go play MHFU, which will NEVER end.
You may have already purchased TWEWY, but here's a thouht. LOL Depends what you need. If you want to experience a fantastic RPG with a deep, unique story, go for TWEWY. If you want a new lifestyle path, go for MHFU.
Love jrpg, played every SE game, tons and tons of RPGs, and was excited to play TWEWY. Hated it. Didn't get the awkward combat, pin system, none of it. Stopped playing shortly after starting, it just sucked to me.
Interesting. Did you get it early on? Square did an update that made the combat far more responsive - it was a massive improvement. FiloMJ - how you finding it?
TWEWY is easily one of my favorite JRPG's for the NDS and I'd imagine the port holds up just as well. Interested in your impressions! Monster hunter is also a really great series (fan since the original on PS2) though I haven't tried any of the mobile ones yet.
So... 10 years after buying the DS version, I play this game for the first time. Well I need to get used to the control system, story looks good (very long winded Japanese style), the only thing I need to know is if I can turn off music.
