Finished it. Excellent to say the least, I'm picking up the season pass and am eagerly anticipating the next episode. Telltale at their finest, excepting a few excusable framerate drops when the action gets heavy. Nice that they included the console visuals, too; the lighting effects really do add something to the overall art style and atmosphere. Best $5 I've spent in quite some time.
Yo JBRUU... Remember that time when we said we'd want another TWD experience, and that we'd want to take TWD out of our memories so we can go through the experience again? TWAU gave me that much satisfaction to quench that thirst. Problem is, now i want to forget TWD and TWAU now so i can go through the experience again. LOL. On the bright side, there are more episodes for TWAU to look forward to, and Im quite excited with Telltale's Borderlands and Game of Thrones future releases.
Finished it today as well, and now I really can't wait for the next one... Just a question, can I delete it now and just reinstall it once episode 2 hits? What about my past choices?
I would say it takes 4 hours if you play again to see the result of the other possibilities. But I think it's important to the experience to bring my question marks with me to chapter 2. I don't want more answers that I need right now.
Have they optimised much since the Walking Dead? The less than fluid camera changes or any action events killed the pacing a bit on iOS.
I only have 1.2GB of space free on my ipad. Can I install this, beat it, and delete it later and still be able to keep my save? I'll probably never have room for all 5 episodes. Is there a cloud sync ?
Not really. It stutters occasionally during action sequences and stops altogether for a second when it goes to load/save.
The atmosphere is nice but the perf (iPad3) is less than ideal... kind of stutter, stop at each scene changes... not unplayable at all but... I don't remember it being that bad on TWD. Oh, well, we'll certainly have fun with it anyway!
yeah... the ipad they launched silently 3 months after the iPad3... I can tell I swore a lot that day haha. I'm waiting for the iPad Air 2(At least, it will have 2G of RAM)! Anyway, I've just bought TWD2. Hope it won't be on par and not worse than that! It was a telltale week for me!
I am waiting for an ipad pro, what a bigger ipad, now that I got an ipad 4, so probably right now it is better compatibility wise than the ipad air.
not really sold on the bigger screen ipad pro thingy unless they ship it with Maverick. iPad Air 2 with iOS8(iOS7 without the quacks) is on my wishlist
Cloud? Hi all, I've finally got around to finishing the first chapter of this great game, but I'm a little short on space on my iPad mini, so have been looking to delete this now, whilst awaiting Chapter 2. My question is, will my game progress be saved allowing me to go onto Chapter 2 upon release (after I've redownloaded it) or will I have to reply the game again? I assume, after all chapters are out, this game would be pretty huge. Thanks in advance all!
Probably saved, assuming this game has iCloud support. Anyway, I only came here after reading that the app had been updated. No new episode, though. I died a little on the inside.
Usually updates don't require me to enter my Apple ID password on ios 7 ,but this one asks for it. Seems weird.
