Starting all over, I was just running from puzzle to puzzle but some puzzles I didn’t get and I don’t want to watch on youtube all the time that’s no fun, so I will take it very slow now because it’s hard, some puzzles just leave me starring and starring but that’s about it ha ha. Just read on the internet that some puzzles can take hours and I wanted to do them in 5 minutes no way sir not gonna happen.
Im only 40 puzzles in and Im speechless. Woah. I lost myself in it for last two hours, just me, iPhone and AirPods. Woah. Also, probably the first 3D first person game that feels at home on a touch device, brilliant controls. Thanks god for iCloud sync because it really kills the battery. But woah, its awesome.
I'm in... I've slowed down my gaming habit as my wife and I prepare to have our first baby in the next few weeks but I've been drawn to the game... might be the final purchase for a while so might as well make it a good one! Hahah! I'm in!
Is anyone else experiencing the game routinely resetting brightness to 50%? I typically only get to play games at night and that is overly bright after dark. The game doesn't seem to have a brightness setting in menu I can find and I don't find anything useful under The Witness under device settings.
At some levels I think thats beyond my brain and then some ha ha, I could stare a year at those levels and not get any further. But its fun and I will do my best
After the whole day lost in The Witness, my mind is drained almost as my battery (several times actually). What a game.
Yes, very very annoying! I actually thought it was an iOS 11 thing until your post, I guess it's the game then. (iOS 11 has other issues with brightness, I always use lowest brightness but that now gets reset to something brighter every X hours)
Actually I like it more because graphics is better on the 6S than on the Air. Of course its smaller but so far no problems (Im around 90 puzzles).
I dunno how it is on larger screens, but Ive near given up playing on SE. Tracing a path while holding my phone at weird angles to try and peek under my finger is NOT fun.
I wasn't impressed with the graphics on the 6+ but that's after playing in all its glory on my iPad 12.9. It's so freaking gorgeous.
Lost progress I solved about 20-25 puzzles. Then I left the game without closing the app. When I came back moments later, the game reset to the opening sequence and all of my progress was lost. Went to the settings menu and clicked Load Game but no previously play was recognized. Anyone have any save or loss of progress issues? iPhone 7+ IOS 11
I did a factory reset on my iPad, set up as new, and reinstalled the game. Cloud save was still in place. Its linked to iCloud, so as long as youre using the same account you should be alright.
I thought I lost my save file yesterday. After playing for about an hour while connected to wifi, I hopped on a plane and played another 20-30 minutes. I reconnected to wifi and loaded the game during a layover but found that it had restarted me from the beginning, with no available save files. I assumed it was a glitch due to airplane mode but after running a full factory reset and setting up as a new device this afternoon (just a stupid annual ritual unrelated to the save file issue), my save file was back in place including the progress I made while offline. That means that the game uploaded my save file after connecting to wifi, but was temporarily unable to load it. Hopefully its an easy fix.
122 solved, +30. Enjoying this just as much, if not more, than my first playthrough on PC, now that I can focus on appreciating the nuances of design rather than just progressing through the game. It's really something else, this. Would love to hear everyone's progress, especially if it's your first time playing!
