512 MB RAM devices are still supported?
BTW: This game looks so epic right now, I just can't imagine how awesome the finished version would be, can't wait for the release :)

I have one question, but first I just have to say that this game is looking great so far, and looks sick.
----- I would like to know if you guys at Toonuva games ever plan on an Android release, thank you in advance.

We have full intention in getting The Wild on Android, and Steam. That's why we're making this fundamentally unique. We want this to be a great product period. We're super excited to debut The Wild on iOS! :)

    Hi everyone,

We've thought long and hard about these comments regarding sensitivity to light (prototype0001), and alternate earth/alien world(scope reflex). We just want to note that these two comments are fantastic and really highlight why we've made the dev process so public- because you're about to see how you're feedback is helping refine the game.

Please note that we are solely focusing on the core gameplay and first person experience until the start of August, so we can really focus on content to ship out v1 The Wild to the App Store by end of August.

    Refinements for v1 launch;
The World - Keeping it very much in theme with our industrial sci-fi goal, the world will be very much inspired by the moon/mars/a;ternate earth- though with trace amounts of water. (highly recommend you take a look at Destiny's Moon level). In keeping with the industrial sci-fi you'll see modern and classic melee and firearms. (ex. modern pistol vs classic bolt action). You'll also see this design philosophy in the hover bike as well.

The Deformed - adapting the Deformed to this new world, we're going to make them very light sensitive (legally blind) and very good at hearing.

We can't wait to unveil more and more of the game, and while we're at it, taking great feedback to make the game unique.

P.S Modern shotgun is a go either in v1, or first patch out.

Man I'm so pumped for this. Toonuva I'm excited to see this game take shape. I think this game will be successful in all three planned markets. As for the screens shown earlier, Just thinking about sc-fi and industrial mixes is making my brain go crazy. Its a game I cant wait to play.
This is why indie development is so healthy for the game communty.

We couldn't be happier with the refinement. Hopefully we'll finish up inventory tonight or tomorrow and have almost almost all of next month to provide y'all with a great version 1.0 launch! :)

Thank you so much for your continued feedback and support buddy!! :D

Just saw your walking animation gif, it looks outstanding, I'm glad you're giving us a shaky cam, a shaky cam always adds to the immersion and it's very rarely used in games.

Also, I heard you were going to redesign the hover bike, me sad, any chance the old design is still available?

    Hmm...

    Here's a suggestion haha

The one your currently planning is almost blind and has increased hearing right?

Since the Deformed are military experiments gone wrong I think there should be multiple scenarios of the Deformed to make much more realistic

Like the infected should have :

    super fast running deforms

    increased sight low hearing

    low sight low hearing

    increased sight high hearing

    slow walking deforms

low sight at day and very increased at night

It's just a suggestion but I hope you consider it for a bit more realism.

And also some of the deformed we come across to while roaming the map should have like a lost of limbs

Like a crawling deform and one arm deform

Great suggestion! We will have multiple types of deformed within the deformed class- starting with these great hearing, poor seeing runners. :)

I have a question about the light sensitive deformed, how does this affect the way they spawn? Do they spawn in the day but stay around shaded areas like in the forest oasis? And what happens if they do go in the sun? One last thing are all of the deformed light sensitive or just some? I know these are a lot of questions but I'm just wondering so i can clear a few things up. Thanks!

So far in the design process, we've concluded that we want 3 types of deformed: a) runners, b) screamers, c) brutes. You'll mostly encounter the runners.

Light sensitivity and great hearing are attributes of the runners, though as we play test and add the other types of deformed, we may make them more akin.

In terms of the world, I can't wait to unveil the refinements. :)

Dev update: AAA HUD, and GUI (inventory, crafting)

    Hey everyone,

Clay has absolutely knocked it out of the park with refining and improving the user interface bringing it up to par with the industrial sic-fi feel. We've got easy to understand and manage thirst, hunger, stamina (sprinting and using weapons) indicators. Easy to use tabs for your inventory, crafting list for things like bandages, build tab to build barricades, traps and such from wood you've collected.

Don't mind the giant stick on the screen as we use this to measure distance from player.

I'm loving the ease of use the UI design brings - clay said he was inspired by Destiny beta and iOS7/8 design.

That's a very straight forward and practical UI, I like it.

Final polish involves making things as transparent as possible without loosing ease of use.
All in all, very pleased with Clay's initial draft UI taking us into industrial scifi.

    Cheers buddy! :)

THE WILD - high res wallpaper

    Hi y'all,

Being that we've had a lot of requests for an iOS wallpaper, I went ahead and made a high res wallpaper for your iPhones and iPads. Hope y'all enjoy!

p.s we'll do different types of wallpapers as we get closer to release. :)

    Y'all are too funny. :p

We'll revise it so you can more clearly see that 'consume' has been selected and not 'wear'!!
