shut up, you dolts. darth nihilus was the only person "talking about jet packs [and] plasma grenades," and he was being entirely sarcastic about the topic.
but to your credit, i'm not huge on the scifi scene, so i don't entirely disagree with the distaste toward the futuristic themes. might also take away from the immersion.

but dear lord, gliding around deserts on a hoverbike just sounds like so much damn fun that i can't trash on that detail even if i wanted to, despite my hopes that it doesn't influence the direction of the game's overall atmosphere

A sci-fi survival could work, it's a matter of how it's done. This game appears to be striving for survival on a hostile world with access to technologies from such an era, although it was teased this was a survival, so items should be crafted and nearly impossible to get. The sci-fi twist isn't what we expected but a welcome change to make something unique to the mobile platform. I do hope the original vision isn't lost, but this game is a marvel either way. Keep up the good work, and remember why we came here, for a gritty survival.

Just a few questions. First of all, are there different biomes, cause that seems cool, but don't make the whole thing a desert. Also will there be a Skyrim type story where it's free roam but if you talk to someone you. Can do a task to reveal more of the story. Or will there just be like an opening cut scene and that's it.

People who didn't see the satire in my "plasma grenades" comment need to stop bumping their heads against the wall.

    Hover bike

:eek:So will the noise from the hover bike attract the deformed? Is there a way to turn it off? Do you need keys for it?.
Also what happens if you hit one of those tank X blocks with it? Can it take damage?

As always thanks for making such a masterpiece! Every thing looks AMAZING!:D:D

Just stop, you're not contributing to this artistic endeavor, I understand that input is key for developers to enhance the game, but they by no means need to pander to those who would prefer a less unique video game... I for one supports any changes, or ideas that would let creativety flourish through this video game.

Neither are the guys talking about textures, geometry and da flarezz.... trying to tell the devs how to do their job when they obviously know what they're doing smh, it's baffling how much entitlement iOS gamers think they have when they really don't.

Anyway, I agree with you, the direction this is taking is very much intriguing.

It's called having an opinion telling them that the textures aren't upto the mark is not telling them how to do their job but it's merely providing feedback which might prove benificial to create a better product.Blindly ignoring flaws can only lead to an underwhelming experience for everyone, it's a basic thing really.Everyone wants the game to be the best possibke it can be and hence criticism/feedhack necessary if not they wouldn't be asking our opinions on it and this thread wouldn't have existed.:)

    Opinions man...

    Textures and geometry are fine.

"Blindly ignoring flaws"... sigh smh.... presuming you can actually tell something technically helpful to actual developers is just a silly thing and forgive me if I laugh and roll me eyes when I see such suggestions, that in my opinion, are not true to begin with.

    But whatever....

Hehehe....I get it,I didn't mean it to come off bossy and demanding maybe the textures are good we'll have to watch the video and see for ourselves.
There's no truth Sonny only perception.

I totally agree that the hover bike graphic model is poo. However just being able to ride around swiftly with quick turning is so much fun in the sand dunes especially with the day/night cycle! That doesn't rule out the possibility of using a half life 2 style sand buggy. :D

All in all, we're super stoked that so many of you are just as pumped about being able to play open-world realistic survival games on iOS!

Ps I'm excited to showcase what clay has in store with the procedurally generated underground bunkers to the map- that will add tons of exploration with way different kind of style than desert vistas.

Come to think of it sand buggy is an epic idea,It would feel a lot more organic for a survival game.A barebones buggy which has to to built and maintained.:)

Neh, you're alright, it's just between this thread and the Forgotten Memories thread I'm getting sick of all the crazy iOS gamer entitlement, maybe I overreacted.

What are you doing man? Here I was defending your hoover bike design haha

Anyway, I like it, the raw design, the blocky figure, kind of art deco meets retro dystopian future, I really hope you keep the hoover bike if you plan to add more vehicles.

The base "survival" is still in the game I presume? The game ideas are all awesome and are and I'm loving the vehicles, but if like to know more about the survival aspects? Show those off a bit eh? But the hostile planet desert is looking cool, and bunkers sound straight up fallout, which is crazy AWESOME. Excited for more Toonuva.

At first I think that this is a modern time survival and now it's going sci-fi? (WTF?!)
