I personally like escapism, i dont want the character to look like me as often its a story in the game i'm following. The filesize would be larger just for additional 'costumes' due to the graphics which dont affect anything else Also would prefer first person, not bothered by third. But again we've all got different views, poor devs must get tons of different suggestion !
Yeah I agree I only use 1st person but it would be cool to see yourself every once in a while and when they add multiplayer it would be really boring of everyone looked exactly the same. I still want it to be mainly 1st person but I hate it when you can make your own character but you can't see what it looks like in context.
I hadn't even thought about multiplayer, so yeah for multiplayer it would be great and probably necessary. I just think that in single player it wouldn't be as relevant, and I think switching to 3rd person might break the immersion somewhat as it allows an unrealistic fov.
i honestly don't see how it would be necessary in multiplayer, either. i'd normally agree with this sort of thing but in this case, i think an anchored first-person point of view would be the most fitting. but that's just me, haha
Dev update: Replayability Happy Friday everyone, So we're busy preparing for a big update to the forums on Sunday night. With that in mind we've made sure to have 2 pillars to help with replayability. First, procedurally generated caves, and underground bunkers. Secondly we are 100% sure that upon death we will let you know how many days you've survived. We may or may not integrate this into Game Center. Can't wait to show y'all the hard work from the past month. Without y'all this wouldn't be adding up like this. Thank you all! -Daniel

Just watched it played by Pewds,The graphics are good and well polished plus open world and crafting with those zombie like tribes

The game is good! Great GFX and gameplay, just don't go exploring too far. Much of the map is still under development.
