I think fall would be a good choice. Also I sent you more information through the contact page. Hope to be able to test this soon good work and good luck with the development.
Start with summer, (or spring even ) this will let people get the feel of the game and what you need to achieve to survive before they start being hindered by freezing to death ( for example ).
I Perfer Fall And Winter To See The Animation And 2 Questions Will There Be A a Voice Chat? Will The Seasons Go Change Like In Real Time? ( Meaning That Will We Have To Wait Months To See The Seasons )
Summer I would start with summer because it lets you see the environment clearly. How long do we have to wait until the season changes in game?
Based on some initial feedback from you guys, we'll hone in on fall start, and we'll have there be a random chance of winter storms that lay snow down (in the season update). I also like fall from a mechanic standpoint as autumn days are not cold but nights are frigid, especially where we are in Vermont! Might have there be a chance of change to winter landscape with the sleep mechanic later on. Keep the great feedback coming, it helps times a million! Pic from a local Vermont bed and breakfast.
That's a great pic! Anyway I think fall is great for starting out, any news on a gameplay vid/trailer?? This is one of my most looked forward to games
The Wild Weekly Dev Update Evening to everyone, This week I'm happy to report that we've made excellent progress/improvements on the AI, lighting system, day/night cycle, and fog fx. Really really happy with with the lighting and overall atompshere- revamped light rays look spectacular for mobile. In addition we reworked a lot back-end systems including combat, looting system, crafting inventory. I'll drop some screens showcasing lighting, real-time shadows and day/night systems. A video would really do the day/night system justice so I'll look into that over the weekend. -Daniel
Thanks! I think we've struck a good balance in terms of content and feature sets for v1, with some great updates swiftly after. Personally I cant wait for spear fishing, seasons, military snipers enemies. But I'm really glad we planned out a core v1, and continue to get great input from y'all.
Maybe some UI improvments I feel like the ui in The Wild is good, not saying it's bad, but it could use some improvements. I would love if The Wild had some papery ui. Like in this picture http://www.gameranx.com/updates/id/15845/article/dayz-mod-is-getting-an-all-new-user-interface-ui/ Just a suggestion
Absolutely!! Currently our scope is aimed straight at iOS. Mac build certainly will be accommodated later on.
No voice chat in v1, though when we get to the multiply/co-op update i'll put a note down to experiment with the mic on npcs too as i think that could be fun. With regards to seasons, they won't change in real-time. Haven't quite settled on the frequency/wait time. Looking forward to the winter bringing about a different style of play. Therefore mainly focused on how it will impact the gameplay in fun ways. Thanks for your interest Nerex! P.S Dropping updated lighting system, and day/night cycle later tonight!
Will this game be able to play through hdmi out with no mirroring and no lag. Like real racing type layout with the controls on the phone and the game displayed on the TV via HDMI out? Thanks.
Friday Night Dev Update Evening to everyone! We've knocked out lighting, real-time shadows, and general atmosphere, as well as updated the day/night cycle. The moon will have phases which will give you different types of night experiences- full moon bright to wicked dark. Clay's making steady progress on enemy AI- about finished with adding the sound sensor. Happy friday y'all!
Looks amazing Can I get a est. time for this game because this looks amazing and I can't wait to get it!
