the wild story line idea I have an idea for the story where the end scene starts with the survivor person tries to escape the island and builds a boat .. He goes off but a storm hits him and gets him back to the island.. Then he stayed in the island and does his survival thing... Time passes and a small plane with small amount of peoole crashes to the island .. Here it begins with a new multiplayer update where you can play with friends on multiple devises and here i stop .. Thats my idea ! Thanks for reading
I hope there are no cut scene but and interactive story, with tips news paper, and the environment should be telling the story. But whatever you do I am still going to try this game, and I think it will be a great game. Good job.
The environment absolutely tells the story - for instance the plane crash parts scattered around the islands, and the original soundtrack really adds great emotional component. The brief opening cinematic is a great starting point for us as we continue working on game mechanics and UX. Happy Saturday.
Development Inspiration - Castaway and Lost I've been watching Castaway & Lost over the week while I recover from the flu. Great inspiration for development and you will definitely see some new mechanics in the works in TestFlight 2.
With the help of the TA community and our own growth as game developers, we've really pushed THE WILD to be a unique survival wilderness experience for the App Store. Thanks so much for the encouragement and wonderful feedback. It's been an amazing journey with you all. It's crazy to think that we have an officially live-action teaser, beautiful original score (that will be available on iTunes after launch), and have had fans/contributors significantly enhance the app icon, banner, infographics, GUI/HUD, and opening cinematic. Gosh darn I love the colors and sound fx of the opening cinematic. -Daniel P.S I hope everyone got a chance to see the behind the scenes video of the composer making the original score.
Gameplay Ideas You should add 'sharpened stakes' to place around your base, that inflict damage when ran into.
This is extremely interesting. I am certain that fan contributions will drive a great "ending". I will think on this whilst I dev out today. -Daniel

How To Beat THE WILD? No matter what style of game one might be playing, it is always fun to have an objective to reach, a way to beat the game. With open-world survival games however, it would be awful if by beating the game, you could no longer play. Thus, taking a concept similar to that of beating in the Ender Dragon in Minecraft and still being able to return to your world and play, I have an idea for a way in which to "beat" THE WILD. 1. There must be a series of achievements which must be accomplished before the ability to craft a special item is unlocked. 2. Once unlocked, parts can be gathered and assembled to craft a communication device. 3. Using the communication device, a player can summon a helicopter to his/her location and in a cut scene, be lifted out of the 'wild'. 4. To return to playing the game, there would be a continue button by which a player can re-enter his/her world via the same helicopter and thereby continue playing THE WILD. 5. Having a way to beat the game will make it a more YouTube friendly game as well as just fun for the casual gamer. Having a way to beat the game gives the YouTuber a goal to reach in his videos making the series more interesting and less random. 6. Now, that player has beaten the game but can continue to improve their Survival experience in THE WILD. **The requirements to unlock the ability to craft this item should be reasonably difficult but not too hard, and the components which are used to craft the communication device should also be relatively hard to find and collect.
Soon. Are there still zombies in this game? Because there was a big emphasis on that at the announcement of this project, but now it's mentioned nowhere in those promo pictures. Or is there an option to turn zombies on/off (like in The Survivor: Rusty Forest)? Just wondering.
Not to get off topic, but how is that game? Also The Wild won't be out soon, they're still beta testing
