I will miss his rad community form once the games out. I'll miss the enthusiasm you all show for a game that we all know might be a little over hyped, but we will still love it anyway. Let's try to keep things going after v1 is released.
Eaither on the forms or in clans once multiplayer is out.

I heard ToonuvaGames is updating the page today/tomorrow. I think TestFlight is out soon or is already out.

Also I'm not sure, but I think their twitter page was deleted, I checked and it said it was gone. So I went to Facebook, and luckily they had updated it a bit more since last time I checked.

I'm pretty excited for the release of this game. Seeing the other game on iOS called The Survivor Rusty Forest makes me want to play this game even more. Looking forward to it!

Unlike you all I've been in contact with the developers through facebook messaging. I started a similar project but abandoned it due to changing work circumstances. I've had the testflight version of this and it's really something to behold. Unfortunately the attiduattitude of members on here have led to them remaining quiet through persecution and the immature behaviour displayed

Sad to hear but not surprised.

I mean the hype/interest this game was getting was huge, 270 pages in this thread ! Thats unheard of so from that point of view its great, but the constant 'whens it out, you said it was coming out one minute ago' type of responses were depressing

I'm sure we'll see this game 'soon' (and funnily enough i dont think my iphone 4s will be able to run it !) but i cant wait to see it come out and hopefully do very well for the devs

    Ha. Called it.

Didn't I call it? Yup, I called it.

Carry on with your whining then, I bet you people (to whom it may concern) can drive away every single dev from these boards by new year's eve.

This kind of shit is why I don't post much anymore. So many old members have moved on and the new ones have such a snotty sense of entitlement.

Though I sympathize with the developers, the problem here is one of their own making. Since the beginning of the summer they have made statement after statement as to their progress and as to when the game would be released. None of which have come to pass. If they can't deliver and can't really say when the game should be released, they should just say so. I think people would understand. It's the constant promises and lack of delivery that irritates people.

I find you have two types of dev here in upcoming, one who shows a game which is about to come out in a week. Then you have others who like to show you how a game is developed early on in the timeline.

Problem is when you start a game so early and show people , people seem to expect lots of changes instantly and get too impatient. It takes time to develop a game, there was one moment where i think the devs father was really ill and because of no news for 48 hours people were moaning like anything. Embarassing to see.

Deadlines change like anything for indie devs as they're the 'bosses' and its a huge risk , they need to make sure the games perfect or all this time they've worked on it could be a major waste. Its not Gameloft with 100's of employees

The funny thing is they seem to update their facebook/twitter feed a lot, its not like they've abandoned the project or anything. Sadly i think they got fed up with the constant 'where is it' rubbish

No, the problem wasn't showing the game off early, or talking about it's development. The problem was giving dates as to beta testing and even a release date. I've followed this game since before the summer and they did this again and again. That's what ticked people off.

I'm going to have to agree. Although I haven't posted in this thread before, I have been keeping up with the game development, and seeing the devs constantly promising dates and not delivering really made me lose trust in them.

I dont work in games but i do work in development and sadly its quite common for dates/goalposts to change constantly. Specially if youre a small team of devs.

If all the other apps here in upcoming had the same level of posting as the Wild's devs you would probably also see the same thing with so many apps. Thats why a lot of devs dont do that as they announce it when they have a concrete release date late on.

I personally like seeing apps from the start to the end but you will always have people criticising when dates are missed etc (which is quite common in some small teams). This game was never vapourware, yeah they missed a few dates but so ? They have to get this right, problem is so many people seem to be impatient and want it now now now. Granted 'some' devs might not help themselves but in this instance they were posting on their facebook/twitter feed, all because they didnt update this thread every 5 minutes you cant moan at them for that.

Also people said the same thing about Oceanhorn, some people even posted that was vapourware !

The games coming out i'm sure 'soon' and lets all enjoy it once its out. For me with Mad Max coming out early next year i'm looking forward to a game like this (not saying its the same but you know what i mean)

I thought this was spam previously due to this comment (looks like i'm wrong). I'm just surprised you commented, i think Candy Crush is rubbish so i dont bother posting in a thread for that game, if theres an upcoming game i dont like the look of i just avoid it

I'm just saying judging from the posts here people are literally dying to play this game as if it's Half life 3,it doesn't look that way to me.

I'm a very seasoned developer, but am just now getting into the gaming industry. I also fear potential backlash from estimating release dates/schedules in that it risks some fans being frustrated.

GTAV was pushed back far beyond its original estimated release expectations, but no one talks about that now because it launched at a billion dollars in gross sales with a second billion shortly on the way.

It's a catch-22 because in the day of social media, if you're a small team and don't have mountains of money for advertising, you'll probably want to get the ball rolling on getting the word out about an ambitious project to build momentum.

Does anyone know why the developers didn't post in this forum like for 2 months?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They could just say that they are not dead...... or something. (I would love this game but it's like the developers are DEAD) :)

I have heard that they are fed up with the immaturity of the forums. Repeating what I heard earlier, they are annoyed with the constant "where is it" or "when will it come out" I do not blame them for this. I would honestly do the exact same.

Since I don't post on here terribly much, I'll just give my VERY GENERAL input.
The game is going to have setbacks. This is because of improvements. I am a programmer, so I know what it is like to have setbacks. It takes A LOT of patiences to program or even build a robot. Things fall apart, I blew a fuse, my computer died, the program doesn't run. Yes, it is very frustrating. Give them time. All they need is 3-5 pesky little forum people to say "Where is it" to make them get extremely frustrated. Give the game time, and be glad you are here along for the ride to watch a game be built. Don't be a pesky forum poster.
