Jesus, this new generation of gamers feel so entitled to everything and are so impatient.. How long did we wait for another Duke Nuke'em?
Seconded. I've been following this thread for some time now. In summation... "Dear game developers, Make your beautiful art, of which most of us are not capable of doing, but beware; how-dare-you's will come fervently if it falls behind any of our personal schedules. Your lives must revolve around our satisfaction, not deeply personal tragedies after we collectively are ready for you to move on. You're a production line, not complex people with important issues the rest of us deal with on a daily basis, lest you think differently." There are a few quite vocal members of this thread who feel as if the developers owe them. I can't piece together why they believe this, or at least publicly express they believe this toward the developers, so strongly. Let the artists create. Abandon the thread for a few weeks and be pleasantly surprised, instead of remaining mired in the process of waiting.
^I agree The amount of 'whens it out ? you said a week ago' or 'why no updates for 5 minutes ?' is now getting OTT Any pushy negative posts towards the dev and people will get warnings/timeouts Again for the 300000th time just be patient. All these spoilt 'i want it now' users will be the first to moan if theres a bug.
I don't think anyone was angered by the waiting period, rather by the lack of news. If you have noticed not many people have been posting "How's the game coming along?" Or "Any release date announced?" comments in the past couple of days, because I informed the community that one of the devs have lost a family member. The only people who are making this thread a negative place are you, for writing this letter (unnecessary, but I somewhat agree) and the previous person who claims all mobile "gamers" (pathetic term) are the worst. And as a whole you insulted yourself by saying "mobile gamers are the worst" which would include you in the category. Please do not go around the thread posting things just to insult people (even though a lot of this community is like this), as the comments in the past couple of days have been rather peaceful. The negativity just isn't needed
OK OK!!! Lets change the topic instead of waiting... " when will the game release? " lets change it to, " What is your expectations for the game? "
Dev update Hey yall, It was wondeful to see TouchArcade feature THE WILD!! Super excited to reveal the next chunk of updates- survival crafting stuff is wicked great. Had a family member pass away which has kept me a bit occupied. Thank you all for the support and excitement. Clay and I are so committed to bringing yall awesome sandbox games, starting with The Wild. -Daniel
Lol "gamers" is a pathetic term? That's just a dumb thing to say. I'm not making the thread negative, I'm simply showing my contempt towards the self entitled likes of the usual "whenz diz game comin outs"? That continued despite the already mentioned sensible situation, so if mocking and scolding to shake some kids off their demanding mentality is "negative" then boohoo, it seems I'm not the only one who thinks that way... Btw, I'm not insulting myself Einstein, there are always implicit exceptions, I don't share that childish regal fever, nor do a few others here, said people are exempt of my remarks. So no, whenever I see those pathetic comments, I will call them out. Hey! Good to have you back, don't sweat it, family comes first man. Take your time man, I'll just enjoy the updates.
Dev Update 1 of 3 Huge Showcases Hey y'all, We've got 3 huge phases of development to showcase. First up, we've got deer living in the game world. Speaking of game world, we really added a ton to the game map so that each turn, each nook and cranny felt natural and detailed. Secondly we've added distant mountains to make the world feel even more expansive. Lastly, we've made knee high water a real piece of the map- the sound fx for foot steps are awesome. Lots could be discussed but I'll let the pictures do the rest of the explanation. Classic deformed shot that we're rolling with. Technically we really optimized the heck out of the map to get us around 30 fps on iPhone 5. Everything newer will get steady fps and we may add special fx for metal only devices.
