Hate to break it to you dude but you're holding a device that's weaker than the iPhone 3GS. But the developers will be working hard on optimization. Keep your hopes up!
After we finish the full v1 experience (looting, combat, crafting, traps), we will work our asses off bringing it to as many devices as possible- running The Wild in half resolution is a great example of how we can push it down to older iDevices. Working on revamping the front page post tonight for ya'll, so we'll be a little while to respond to the forum.
That won't affect people with, say, an iPhone 5S will it? Like have it recognize the device or have graphical settings?
We have 3 types of entities that we have in the dev pipeline for "enemies". First up is the mutant class (debuting the fast walker in newest screens, and we have a couple more). Then we're adding the wildlife class (bears, boars, rabbit). Lastly we're adding the military class at compounds and bunkers. We'll get as much in as possible for a great v1 launch, and then have weekly updates lined-up. Each of these enemy classes deserves our utmost attention if we are, as a two man team, provide you and community with the best freaking experiences. We'll push militia as an update experience. Absolutely no IAP. All updates will be FREE.
Newest devices will have the highest quality possible being that we have more to work with in terms of performance. Our goal is to have fundamentally same experience on iPad Air (A7 chips) as we will on Mac App Store version launch later in the year.
The iphone 5 won't be effected too much graphically will it? And SirHanet.. Lol obviously no offense, but you really can't buy a new device then an iPod3?
This all sounds awesome, loving every bit of it. Just don't make the military too high tech or powerful after all they are on an island that seems to be a bit cut off.
No way high tech, we're giving this a early 20th century feel. Military aren't powerful overseers, quite the opposite- much more on the defensive against the mutant cannibals.
Liking that axe. Has a viking blade profile to it. Hope to see some bow pics soon, I have high hopes for the archery in this game.
Finding, crafting or whatever way to make or get attachments for your guns would be really amazing and add to the "real" feel survival element.
That's not a healthy habit. This looks to have promise, but saying, "I'll buy it no matter what" does not promote good business practices from developers or publishers; just look at Battlefield 4.
Dude, he's just excited about the game and is probably gonna buy it day one. What's the problem? Love the new screenshots btw!
