So you'll be able to hunt a variety of animals to eat, overall there are natural/crafted vs loot ways of fueling your core stats- ie for hunger, you can find food as loot or hunt and harvest an animal. Water is the same idea, natural spring vs finding water bottle. We'll be adding in ways to make ammo later on in military update. Be safe buddy!! -Daniel
Release date I know that that the game is coming out this month but is there an actual release date yet?
Since I can't obviously give it a specific date, I'll share with you the core items that need to be done before. 1. Ensure predator - prey AI system (v1 wildlife = bear and elk) 2. Good wildlife interaction with player 3. Finish GUI/HUD/inventory, with context crafting graphic elements (ie when you look down for a couple of secs, an icon to craft campfire will popup, likewise on doors and windows, a barricade icon will pop up to execute crafting action. 4. Finish melee/firearm system 5. Finish v1.0 game world 6. Add deformed via trigger event Note that it's not a long list, and more importantly, progress has been made on all fronts. Any chance of loot mechanics for hunting? Like the bigger the caliber of the bullet, the less meat and/or loot you'd get from the target unless it's a headshot or neck shot? That is, unless the bullet passes clean through.
Toonuva I was wondering about something. What will the start of the game be like? Will it be a plane crash like the wild? A cruise ship crash? A far cry 3 vacation gone wrong?
Will there be "infected or mutated" animals? Will there be normal animals you can make your companion in later versions?
I think the start is like a plane crash, although I don't think there'll be like a quicktime event to explain it, it'll probably sort of just start like how minecraft starts, just BOOM your there, survive!
Oh and what is the world generation ratio? Is it like 50% desert and 50% forest? Or is it all desert?
I think its a hostile sci-fi world so maybe I am Legend style begining. That would explain possble ruins. World Ending post apocolypse industrial survival. Maybe?
Its more ideal, I am Legend style story. A game like this will be about survival, and a lone survivor fits well. And Toonuva mentioned ruins, so a long post apocolypse sci-fi, industrial setting.
