So I synced my iPod touch 4 today and this is what was supposed to by synced:

    Eternal Legacy from Gameloft.

Now this is what was synced:

The messages cannot send obviously. Any thoughts on what the hell happened here? I am a registered iOS dev, and I did enable "Use for Development" on this iPod as well as my iPad. Maybe this has something to do with it?

I'm thinking you might be better off asking in the developer forum.

I just rebooted and all those icons are gone. Still super weird.

The icons you see are hidden apps that are stored on all iPods and iPhones and come with the device. Marking your device for development probably made you see them. There is another hidden app called "TVOut" as well.

I knew about that about AdSheet. However, it shouldn't install the messages app as you need to edit the N82AP.plist file inorder to see that. I have had the adsheet and springboard app show up before but never messages. That's what was my concern.

Never synced from a backup, nor have I ever backed up my iPod.
